Horror writer. Actress (London Kills, EastEnders, Stonehouse, Lightbulb recents) Wanted to be horror czar of British TV, but bloody Mark Gatiss got there 1st; how dare he colonize Mansize In Marble before I did? One cat. Aim: goats, pigs, dogs, more cats.

This article about what went wrong with the Christa Pike execution notes that she tried to help her executioners do it better. Finally, in paragraphs 24-26, we come to the "of course he did" explanation. Cruelty and barbarism are this administration's hallmarks. 🎁 www.nytimes.com/2026/10/01/s...

"While Hassett framed the influx of workers as a sign of confidence in a strong economy, independent economists described the September numbers as a "textbook weak jobs report" where job growth fell well short of expectations."

Liar - I am a laid-off 65 yr old man. No one is going to hire me and has been that way since May. Even coffee shops and garden centers won't look at me. They keep telling me find a good volunteer organization. The new Medicare Advantage plan I chose and started 10/1, was just cancelled in 2027.

The stupidity is out of control. The maga cult might believe this wanker, but the majority of the world knows they are lying through their teeth every single minute.

And so it continues... Our economic debates seem utterly disconnected from the reality. That reality: This is an economy mostly creating healthcare jobs, and it does so month after month, and everything else is just noise.

"Not disappointed even a little bit, and you knew I was going to say that" -- LOL even Hassett knows he's full of shit

The GOP promised their tax cuts for the rich would lead to growth. But growth slowed down. They said their tariffs would bring back manufacturing. But factory jobs are down under Trump. Republican policies don’t work. Change begins on November 3.

I'm also confused as to why the AI Bro is so pissed with the Pope saying AI isn't sentient. Does he want the AI to become Catholic? How are we giving the data centers First Communion? Are the copious amounts of water we'd use to cool the servers for its baptism?

This is a bad bill—bad for environmental justice, bad for climate, bad for humans. Some good people are fighting for it b/c they don't believe we can get better, but straight up, it's a bad bill. Sometimes we have to fight like hell for better options; it's the only way we get them.

Today Permitting Reform advocates are all pivoting to the message that this bill will make tech companies bear the costs for data-center power use. But here's a fact: the lobbying group for Big Tech loves the bill and wants it to pass. Weird contradiction, no?

I wish the news would stop stealing my unused ideas for comics. Here’s the pitch: some (nameless) US state becomes the preferred site for supervillain lairs because a clever lawyer figures out you can build your skull island whatever and write off billions in taxes.

TVBrown here, writing horror when not acting or copy editing. Two WIPs, one folk horror, one urban. Londoner, cat and dog lover. Obsessed with Sinners to the point of writing an essay on it. Used to sing on a cruise ship. There used to be a poltergeist down my road in the 1950s.

If we were all judged by our worst moments upon experiencing cosmic body horror from beyond the pale of our worst nightmares happening inches from our face, no one would look great.

I will ALWAYS recommend Apostle (2018). it's a Gothic folk horror and remains one of my favorite horror movies also any number of Godzilla (1954), Godzilla (1984), Shin Godzilla (2016), and Godzilla Minus One (2023) as the big man is not often given the respect he deserves as a horror franchise

God I love Midnight Mass. Might be an unpopular opinion but it is my favourite Flanagan piece, quickly followed by house of usher and house on the hill.

#HorrorWritersChat Question 1: Hi! I'm Satyr, I write dark fantasy and horrors of the gothic, cosmic and psychological varieties, co-created the WoD, and just finished a cyberpunk horror for a Blackstone anthology. My work playlists range from dark ambient to bebop jazz... #HorrorWriteresChat

#HorrorWritersChat All about me is in my pinned post, links, and bio. There is no kind of horror other than, mostly, body horror, that I don't write, or haven't written. I am always listening to something new, but novels have been accompanied by Concrete Blonde, Depeche Mode, Steam Powered Giraffe.

I'm David Busboom, I write weird monster/cosmic horror with (I hope) a literary bent. My favorite music to listen to (especially when writing) is hard rock/heavy metal from the late '60s thru about the mid '90s. I like a lot of prog, folk, and psychedelia, too. #HorrorWritersChat

Heyo! DigitalSatyr here. Been writing a long time now. Whenever I do horror, I love monsters but even more so horror that slips under the skin and into the brain. Big fan of metal, classic rock, and some pop. Give Erika Vikman's "Table of Sinners" a listen when you get the chance. #HorrorWritersChat

There can never be a replacement... our existence and life is a miracle and the fact we get to share it with these beautiful creatures is amazing. They may be a part of our world... but we were their entire world.
