starting to think that 'AI art' and 'art made with AI' will be very relevant distinctions tbh. stuff in the recognizable lazy AI house style will probably always be low status and derided because the creators will be people who don't give a shit. well made art with AI will simply be considered art.

Every movie, song, and book that you love was made without the technology that people who donโ€™t make art are now insisting is necessary for making art.

Look Iโ€™m all for spooky time skulls and skeletons (hell I have five actual skulls in my house year round) but ffs can we stop with the fake bone ears? Itโ€™s Cartilage Jeff, itโ€™s not a bone!! Itโ€™s not gonna survive when all the other soft tissue is gone.

โ€œthis person is bad so their work was always badโ€ is also a really dangerous view to take because it leads to - unconscious or not - a bias towards โ€œbut I do like this other personโ€™s work, ergo they must be a good personโ€ which, as we have seen over and over, is simply not true

This skeet made me wonder โ€œwas Blade good? They made three of โ€˜em, right? Wesley Snipes was at the top of his gameโ€ฆ should I rewatch all of Blade as a bit?โ€ In the space of ten seconds.

Blade hitting a delayed vertical suplex as a flex is one of my favorite action movie moments.

They did genuinely some of the worst crimes in human history but also Tintin, so can say whether the Belgians are good or bad

This might be one of the most insane scandals in game history When Pokemon Go players scan PokeStops, theyve been unknowingly building a detailed visual model of the world which is being sold to a military contractor to build a no-GPS positioning for the new generation of unmanned killing machines

The American Dream is to make enough money to retire well, not to work until youโ€™re 79 or more. Please, Susan, step down already. Go eat some blueberries on the beach.

Maine Sen. Susan Collins (R) said that she has a benign essential tremor, telling a local news outlet that she has had it for the length of her nearly 30-year Senate career. Collins, 73, is running for a sixth term in the Senate.

He canโ€™t help himself, heโ€™s a wealthy failson who just never learned! Thatโ€™s why people are tripping over themselves to forgive all his indiscretions. He tells it like it is. And if it isnโ€™t heโ€™ll give a mealymouthed โ€œIโ€™d like to be better than the guy (myself) who said those things.โ€

Wouldnโ€™t it be neat to not fight wars over oil?

Spain's renewables build-out has structurally decoupled its electricity prices from gas markets. Gas now sets the price in only 15% of hours, compared to 90% in Italy. Countries that invested early in clean power are far less exposed to fossil fuel price shocks. Those that didn't now pay the price.

My most extreme opinion is that if you believe we need to bring about the end times for your faith, you shouldnโ€™t be in charge of weapons or policy.

This week Iโ€™ve been watching a lot of The Great Canadian Baking Show and The Great Pottery Throwdown with my mom and wondering why these formats donโ€™t work in America. Americans just arenโ€™t as supportive of their fellow competitors. I think we can solve this though with a format fusion.

The baker the judges select gets half plus one votes compared to the total remaining members of the Bakerโ€™s Dozen (which obvi starts with 13), but! The winner of the technical could protect that person and risk their seat, or you could sway the rest of the council to take out the top spot.

I seem to recall Susan Collins saying that she wouldnโ€™t approve unrestricted absentee voting (similar to what we have in Maine) because she didnโ€™t think it would be right to enforce Maineโ€™s views over all jurisdictions. Interestingโ€ฆ
