One of my first "Oh I guess I live in LA now" celebrity encounters was standing in line at the quaint Valley Village post office and there, three people in front of me, Walter Koenig was buying stamps and sending a package.

My pal Danielle Koenig shared that her father Walter Koenig passed away last night at age 90. A performer whose kindness and warmth shone through the screen. He will be well remembered.

This is such a fantastic photo: "The Witches' Tea Party" but I want to use it to explain the origin of the tall, pointy witches hat. The real story of this photo: These are residents at the Hospital of the Holy & Undivided Trinity: an almshouse in Castle Rising, Norfolk, England established 1610.

Immediately after this post she said "COME ON! There was ONE GUY they couldn't let score!!! ...They're gonna have to burn the Rogers Center down."

Character/creature naming trick: Take 3 words you can see & use the first few letters of each. "Mini notecards for all occasions" … Minofo, Nofo-al, Foalocca, Alloccami. "Taste of India Restaurant" … Taofin, Taoin, Tastoin, Ofinree, Indreta. "Sean K Reynolds Game Designer" … Sekreg, Regade, Krega.

Had the classic "I'm the lead in the play, don't know my lines, can't find my wardrobe" stress dream this morning so I'm glad to announce that BA in dramatic arts is still paying dividends

Lol he has been so sassy all day, this afternoon we were both downstairs and he barked from upstairs to get someone to move his patio bed into the sun. It's been a long day of being a pain in the ass 💕

As we approach the midterms, remember that the Alt National Park Service is a merch sales operation claiming without evidence to be a group of federal employees, and is not a genuine source of news about elections of any kind. Please get your election info from a local, reputable source.

maybe I'm getting soft in my old age but I really don't think we should be training dogs, dolphins, or any other animal to fight our dumb fuckin wars for us

far too late in life have I learned the value of being a Mustache Guy but friends, we have lost some great ones this week

Tonight in curling: Tied 1-1 after two ends Went down 1-4 in the 3rd end Came back 6-4 in the 4th end Let them have 1 point in the 5th They were sitting on 4 points in the 6th. We had the hammer and the skip drew to the button on the final shot. Landed our first win of the season 7-5! 🥌 🥌 🥌

my personal theory is that the petrochemical states see all these solar and battery tech improvements and are scared shitless. so they are using their wealth and political connections to buy out big media institutions (like EA, like Warner Brothers) to influence the cultural tides in their favor.

Matt Forbeck@forbeck.com

For those of you who don't know the details, Bioware is part of EA, which was purchased this summer and taken private in a leveraged buyout by Jared Kushner (Trump's son-in-law) and Saudi Arabia.

CHASING CARS features a vulnerable, authentic voice, a friendship to rival any romance, and epistolary elements that explore what the protagonist struggles to say out loud. It is at turns both heartbreaking and heartwarming. Back this Kickstarter with an all trans team now!

Y'all, the Cato institute is well known for dressing up laissez-faire anti-tax capitalism as moderation. It's their whole deal. They're on bsky to get dunk-quoted to spread their reach. Don't let them hijack yours. Block/ignore. This is the way.

No, really - it, it's for my wife! For Christmas! I'm an early shopper!

I want to teach a class in Randian Objectivism where I charge $2000 for a ten-week class, make everyone buy overpriced copies of The Fountainhead and Atlas Shrugged on Day One, say "You're an individual. You don't need anyone else. Figure this shit out yourself." Then exit stage left. NO REFUNDS!

One summer in college I signed up with a temp agency. They had a gig working overnight at a cheese plant 15 miles away. (Probably loading blocks of cheese into shredding machines.) I called and quit the Friday before I was supposed to start because I knew I couldn't do the sleep-deprived drive home.

Walking the line in my auto factory and screaming at all the workers to make the cars stupider and more dangerous. They love this, it helps motivate them. "It's going to be able drive upside down," I yell through a megaphone. "It's going to be able to fart."

My Kickstarter is now live! Based on my experiences, CHASING CARS is a coming-of-age novel about an autistic pregnant trans teen boy in the BC foster care system. And it is banned in many USA states with actual legislation before it is even published. Back it! www.kickstarter.com/projects/jul...

The Purifying Table MIGHT be our favorite purifier yet. It has a very high CADR (400 cfm which means a large room, for ex: 20’x20’ 400 sq ft, gets 7.5 air changes per hour). But it’s still quiet and unobtrusive. We like to let it double as furniture and use it as a side table or even a nightstand.
