Remember the story we at #4Corners did about Channel 7, 2 years ago? About soul-crushing culture of sexism & exploitation, particularly of young women? Their internal review has vindicated our reporting, despite legal threats at the time (which went nowhere). Report: www.abc.net.au/news/2026-10...

Agreed. And if the nation's politicians had exercised a collective spine and boycotted a certain radio "host" after his appalling "chaff bag & Sydney Harbour" bile ridden commentary, or called out the filthy rags that placed cross hairs on front page pics of fellow MP's, a better tone may prevail

Totally agree @tonywindsor.bsky.social. Helen and Phil Haines are valued friends of mind. I hold them in highest regard & I weep as Helen fights for her life after deliberate attempt to kill her. Tragedy is that she is a genuine independent who is totally committed to the people of #Indi.
I can’t believe someone would intentionally want to hurt Helen Haines. She is always respectful of others views, respected across the Parliament and community and a glowing example of how an MP should represent her electorate. Our thoughts are with Helen and her family.

I'd filed a Hanson/ Lambie cartoon for today but it seemed a bit tin eared with what's happened in Indi so I did a new, last minute one this morning. I had a few ideas about division & dark days but thought I'd focus on something that's bringing people together instead. Here's to Helen Haines.

Horrendous Tony. A good & very decent person, committed to her electorate, local representation and broader integrity. @helenhainesindi.bsky.social is a model, mentor and aspirational example across so many regional communities - wishing her all the power of as many positive thoughts 7we can muster.

Wonderful to be on this week’s episode of The Guardian’s Australian Politics Podcast, speaking with political editor Tom McIlroy about what dominated the headlines this past week. We spoke about a range of topics - from the private health bill to what's next for Kooyong, JSCEM, and more.

Jacqui Lambie has shown courage and honesty in speaking of her experience of vaginal prolapse. She’s talked about an awkward subject to make it easier for other affected women. Pauline Hanson thinks that's worth making fun of. One Jacqui Lambie is worth 1,000 Pauline Hansons.
