🇺🇸‼️ The top management of a US $25 billion gas project in Alaska has resigned amid suspicions that the project is secretly controlled by Russia. The former CEO of Polar Train LNG said that the export terminal is actually financed and controlled by Russia’s Novatek without Washington’s permission.

I have this same thought all the time. Ford's Nixon pardon -> Trump And don't forget, some of the same people involved in Watergate helped get Trump elected (e.g. Roger Stone). And the idea of Fox News was born out of the minds of the salty losers of Watergate.

I propose that Gerald Ford pardoning Nixing is the flick of the domino that led us here. His pardon informed Reagan that he could, as a candidate, negotiate with the Iranians (and owe them a favor), which he got away with. Then all his admin's other fuckery ensued.

Before calling someone a “dirtbag,” the Senator should have had his facts straight. An apology is in order. Glad one of us knew the difference between the Atlanta Hawks and the Iowa Hawkeyes!

I'm not sure if the combative pro-impeachment folks on BlueSky are really right-wingers trolling, or misguided lefties who can't handle opinions not 100% aligned with theirs, but I've had to mute/block two in recent days because they get angry, twist words and lie rather than discuss and debate.

There is no place for political violence in our country. I’m grateful that Amy Acton is safe and thankful for the law enforcement officers who acted swiftly today. Attacks like this cannot just be the price you pay for running for office. This must never become normal.

Calling questionable protest activity “terrorism” is exactly how governments make extraordinary powers feel normal. Once that label gets stretched far enough, almost any political dissent can be treated like a security threat.

BREAKING: After the Washington Post fired me last year for speaking the truth in the wake of the Charlie Kirk killing, I fought back. And I'm happy to announce: I won my case against the Washington Post. They have been ordered to reinstate me immediately. www.nytimes.com/2026/08/24/b...

Gonna briefly do an AI take: it used to be possible to have interesting discussions about AI here, and it's got progressively less so. You can't just think AI is bad, or overhyped, you've also got to subscribe to a very particular worst-case scenario about *how* it's bad and how bad it is.

I publicly and privately urged the last administration to address the public’s concerns with the former president’s health. I’m calling on Sen. McConnell to do the same and provide voters an update on his own health. Let’s end the crazy speculation. Just tell us what’s going on.

To be fair, we don't know how many US Presidents have been biologically male. And that's the point: it doesn't matter. A president's genitalia should not be involved in them executing the office of the President. If it is involved, something has gone seriously wrong with the country.

📦 I just spent nearly a month acting as an unpaid claims adjuster for #UPS. My job? Managing the recovery for a $700+ shipment they lost. The real issue isn’t the loss; it’s the institutional "firewall" between Corporate and their franchise stores. We deserve a cohesive brand.

The irony: I couldn't file my own claim online because of "sender restrictions"—even though I was the sender. "D", a store manager, spent 30 mins helping me, but when I called back, she wasn't there, and no one else could access the system. A total support-gap.

I only got answers thanks to "L" in the Claims Dept. UPS: Customers don’t care about internal franchise agreements; we care about the service we pay for. If you ship anything of value, look elsewhere. UPS relies on customers to fix their systemic failures. Never again.

My experience was a masterclass in dehumanization. I spent hours trapped in IVR loops with moronic options and AI agents with no power. Corporate call centers consistently had 20–30 minute hold times, and even the callback feature felt like a desperate attempt to avoid actually speaking to a human.

It really might be useful if Dems every once in a while note that to the extent there has been a "war" with Iran for decades, it started in 1953, not 1979.

PSA: I imagine many of my followers know the story of the pallets of cash, but for those who don’t: Before the Iranian revolution, Iran was run by the Shah, who had TONS of money and a virtually unlimited appetite for US military hardware, including big things like aircraft etc.

Trump: "The DEAL that we are making with Iran will be FAR BETTER than the JCPOA, commonly referred to as 'The Iran Nuclear Deal,' penned by Barack Hussein Obama and Sleepy Joe Biden, one of the Worst Deals ever made having to do with the Security of our Country."

🇺🇸🐕 American astronaut Christina Koch showed how her own dog greeted her after 9 days in space during Artemis II mission. She became one of the first four astronauts to fly to the Moon in more than 50 years.

🚀Some don't like to see money spent on space when we have unfunded domestic problems. But if we tried to solve all problems before investing in our future, we'd still be living in caves.

📈Our problems can never be fully solved. It's in our nature. But we also have it in our nature to aspire, advance and evolve. So far, our capacity for self destruction has been slightly outpaced by our ability to be better. But only slightly.

This sounds similar to the Placebo study where even when participants were told it was a Placebo, some of them still felt better. There's an underlying weakness in humans, and bad guys will take advantage of this before we update our laws to accept this reality.

Even with a specific warning — "this video has been flagged as a deepfake" — participants still judged the person significantly more guilty than controls. Critically: even people who said they believed the warning were still influenced by the content. 4/10

Do you think someone could explain to Trump this secret weapon to insulate us from energy price shocks and weaken Iran’s grip on our markets? Clean. Energy. It is a national security thing
