One person talked about how - more than the likely loss of her job- what grieved her was how impossible it will be to restore the sense that public service matters even after Trump moves on. Another told me that Republicans confirmed Russ Vought, who promised to put these employees “in trauma”

Server 2025 inplace upgrades, beware if you have drives running ReFS - post-upgrade all files could be enumerated and displayed, none opened. ACLs inaccessible, can't be overwritten. Restored from backup to new volume, deleted old, changed drive letter to match. Not soooo ReSilient. #WS2025

Relatively, Biden was boring as shit... If it weren't for the genocide, nazism, and failure of checks and balances, this would be a wild time to be alive.

This guy is a guy who gets carries/account recoveries not to save time or because he actually enjoys anything about the game. No, no, Elon wants to seem cool online. This is where he is most sensitive I guarantee you. Elizabeth Warren should say he paid someone to level for him, he'll lose it

I’m a broken record on this, but the pause is completely illegal. It directly violates Section 1013 of the Impoundment Control Act.

Many sudden and shocking health care developments this week. But this was a big one: The Trump administration on Friday paused funding for PEPFAR, the famed program to fight HIV/AIDS around the world. @mradamtaylor.bsky.social @johnphudson.bsky.social Missy Ryan + a little help from me

Figuring out the extent of this, and how to maybe get them out, probably won't turn out being important anyway. Sure they were just doing research. Not of anything interesting, as if they had a notorious history of corporate espionage. Seems fine.

The Department of Homeland Security is firing all the members of its various advisory committees, a move which people familiar with the matter said would disrupt the agency's efforts to investigate a sweeping hack of US telecom companies blamed on Beijing reut.rs/3C97b5g

This matters. Not because I think Trump is capable of mercy or empathy towards these vulnerable groups. But because it is a public act of defiance. Contrast that with all these other powerful people in this country signaling nothing but appeasement and obedience.

Rev. Mariann Edgar Budde to Trump: "I ask you to have mercy upon the people in our country who are scared now. There are gay, lesbian, and transgender people in Democratic, Republican, and independent families, some who fear for their lives ... and the vast majority of immigrants are not criminals"

As should be news to nobody, especially those who have watched him speak, Thiel is a total quack. This stuff is looney tunes level discourse, and fails to grasp the realities upon us

I recall being in awe of my mom's typing speed when I was little - I felt like I could never type that fast. Now I can type seamlessly in Dvorak and qwerty so long as I don't think about it. Mom went to school to become a speech therapist, after taking me to Easter Seals and fixing my stutter.

Don't miss the multiple levels here... The GAO (Gov Accountability Office) investigates federal spending and performance. IOW... Efficiency

BlueySky Dad, PhD@sm-tommasini.bsky.social

2 people to lead the Dept. of Government Efficiency? Look, it doesn't take a genius to know that every organization thrives when it has 2 leaders. Go ahead, name a country that doesn't have 2 presidents. A boat that sets sail without 2 captains. Where would Catholicism be without the popes?

You are up to date.
