As a journalist, I’ve covered the anti-trans movement in Canada for almost a decade at this point. There’s a lot of room for change from here. My advice tonight is that we all slow down, take a big breath, and ready ourselves for the actual fights to come—and don’t panic over the imaginary ones.

The NDP is back...to celebrating losses. Wonderful.

I want to share some reflections on last night’s by-elections. While there is still lots of work to do, our strong result in Beaches—East York and the surge of grassroots organizing in all three ridings shows us one thing: the NDP is back.

Canadians aren’t giving up on public health care. They want it fixed. 85% say universal care based on need, not income, is a core Canadian value. 80% believe the public system can meet Canadians’ needs with more investment. abacusdata.ca/canadians-w...

They're laughing in our faces at this point.

The world wants to do more with Canada. Our MOU with Alberta will unlock those opportunities in energy — and create lasting benefits for Canadians.

THANK YOU

We're missing something here. People aren't necessarily turning to Reform because they agree with their rhetoric. They're turning to them because there is no alternative being offered to change what they see as a rapidly deteriorating situation, mostly facilitated by dull out of touch politicians.

I guess Canada felt left out of the new Sinophobia race

I love finally getting to work in the horror genre. I love messy, unhinged characters in messy, unhinged worlds. There's something cathartic to it and if I weren't so sleepy maybe I'd have more clarity on that. Anyway, please recommend me your favorite horror movie.

Canada's governing Liberal party passed a widely support resolution this weekend calling for a ban on people under 16 using social media. But this age verification—and particularly the digital tools used for it—can be a big barrier for trans people of all ages xtramagazine.com/video/canada...

I don't have a purity test. I do have a litmus test. You're the one getting them confused. Or you're just straight up malicious. This is about Liberal voters.

And not one Nazi. Already more successful than Carney.

Wild that Altman is being sued by his sister for repeated sexual abuse and that doesn’t come up in basically every conversation about him. I get that it’s alleged but if that shit was happening to someone else I feel like that would come up, particularly if that person had a history of lying a lot.

Nazis, all of them.
