This is what left the visible physical world at about 3pm yesterday. The two concrete spiral staircases were my favourite bit. Going to do a run of C-Type prints of this if anyone is interested. Not my best in terms of quality, but it’s does that thing it needs to do.

It is, today, not the 13th anniversary of the publication of Steven Morrissey’s autobiography (it had been out for ten days) but something much better: the 13th anniversary of the Sunday Times publishing A. A. Gill’s merciless mauling of it—a review which went on to win Hatchet Job of the Year

And now back to my full time job, texting the word "stop" to every living Democrat.

Twin Peaks fans: My husband sent me this post of Max Ernst’s mechanical elephant and said, “Philip Jeffries?” A quick google of Lynch and Ernst showed a bunch of Lynch’s Ernst books being auctioned off after his death. Fascinating, no? Thanks, @brianlibby.bsky.social!

I'll hand it to Obama here, this is a great line

OBAMA: He's got the White House looking like Saddam Hussein opened a Cheesecake Factory. It's gold everywhere.

One of the best things I ever did for myself is compile all my ticket stubs. It isn’t so relevant these days, but it really is a diary for my younger self.

You can buy one here if you want! Then you too can ask yourself in the future things like: Did I really see Philadelphia 2x in theaters? Or The River Wild even once? Or did I *have* to tape my stubs for Schindler’s List and Reality Bites next to each other? 🥴 www.uncommongoods.com/product/tick...

I'm in the Aviary but I remember when there were birds here and now it's a (damn fine) coffee shop. I'm looking for the 1970s, trying to locate images of them in the here and now, but I realise my memories are just long exposures; multiple impressions making blurs with few fixed points to steer by.

Very excited to see Dana Ashbrook, Harry Goaz, Ray Wise and producer Sabrina Sutherland swap Twin Peaks stories tonight. It brought back a lot of memories; I first saw Dana Ashbrook on a panel in NYC on Nov. 17, 1990. Couldn’t help but reflect on the time that’s past (appropriate for The Return).

An amazing image from Twin Peaks, Dune, and Fallout star Kyle MacLachlan's memoir "Fictional Selves" that just shows how awesome Patrick Stuart is.

Whoa. It’s like when Agent Cooper enlarged Laura Palmer’s eye to show the motorcycle reflected in it.

Juvenile Cooper's hawk that took an extended bath in the water bowl just outside the kitchen door, making things easy for once. You can see the door faintly reflected in its eye. #BirdOfTheDay #Juveniles #eck 📷🌿🪶

The direction, the acting, the soundtrack … everything about this movie is 5 stars.

The Civilian @tajiisawol.bsky.social

Thinking of Michael Mann's The Insider lately — An intense, riveting, exquisitely crafted and composed flick potently demonstrating the price one pays when they place a high-value on integrity. An exacting and often enduring price long after the media and thus, us, have moved on. 1/2

What is it about woodland paths? Is it simply their beauty or do they trigger a metaphor alert in the mind? #nature #autumn #poetry

I cannot do 5,000 pumpkins justice. But here’s the big display. Entire path is just littered with them. The ground, on pedestals, in the freaking trees!

I love A Perfect Spy so much. It’s Shakespearean, a deeply complicated epic that only someone in complete control of his story could write. Masterful.

Robert Wood Lynn’s Mothman Apologia weaves in the Mothman legend with the opioid crisis in West Virginia. It’s so powerful and is one of my top 5 books of poetry.

David Castleton (Author)@david-castleton.bsky.social

The town of Point Pleasant, West Virginia, was once haunted by a 'Mothman' - a flying, red-eyed humanoid. Seen as an angel of death or harbinger of doom, Mothman was blamed for a bridge collapse. What an awesome 10 mins of music, dance & filmmaking! Turns out the director, Gjon Mili, was a pioneer of capturing a sequence of actions in one photo. The Lindy Hop (below) was the cover for Hanif Abdurraqib's A Little Devil in America. Gjon Mili is worth a search so you can see how good he was!
