Vanessa McKee

I can’t stop thinking about You Can See Everything. Such a great movie!

I didn’t think I had a favorite movie but I actually think It might be Ravenous. Top spot.

@vanessamckee.bsky.social happy to have your art on my walls in my new home. And thanks for the drawing of Ripley you included. I will find a spot for her as well lol

Organizing my shelves today and found this bonkers book and have no idea where it came from. It kinda looks like it might have just appeared from another dimension.

They Thought They Were Free by Milton Mayer

Now reading the newest Kingsolver

New pencil artwork I made of Janet Leigh in Psycho 🔪

Really loved the new East Of Eden adaptation. Beautiful production design, acting, photography and writing. Can’t wait to see what they do with Lonesome Dove.

As it ended I asked Vanessa if the next ep is just Mulder and Scully retiring from the FBI because fuuuuuck that shit.

Happy October from my brood x

That was fun

Caturday night

Thank you for helping. It means the world to us.

My editor and lifelong best friend Zach and his family are going through a challenging time right now, navigating their youngest child through some intense medical issues. Please share this link and help if you are able to. Hug your loved ones tight! www.gofundme.com/f/team-arlo-...

Update

We have art! @vanessamckee.bsky.social created these gorgeous images for backers of The Veronica Mars Book Kickstarter. They're now available as add-ons with any tier as 2x2 stickers; 4 for $12. (No watermark, obv!) You can adjust your pledge/add-ons at any time. www.kickstarter.com/projects/wat...

And if you're a Veronica Mars fan who'd like to help spread the word across social media, on your substack/Ghost newsletters, blogs/pods, & more, I made 4 images you can feel free to use. Thank you!! ❤️ Kickstarter Link: www.kickstarter.com/projects/wat...

And last but not least, here's an image for the Marshmallows. Note: We have brilliant artists @kategabrielle.bsky.social & @vanessamckee.bsky.social confirmed to create the art for the book, so don't worry, you won't have to look at my placeholder images for very long, lol. 😅

It's way past time that mentioning the artist when promoting books, physical media, film posters etc. should be the norm. With slop everywhere, let ppl know you hired an artist! This is good marketing, you look good because of it. Which is why it feels suspicious when ppl don't do this

My new script was recently called “too transgressive”, so I’m holding my head a little higher of late.

Really enjoyed The End of Oak Street! Great FX and gags and just a really fun watch.

Big shout out to the last monumental asshole I worked with for inspiring a half dozen new songs.

Caturday?

It’s been a while since I shared this one!

This is Loki, our Maine Coon and the cat of our hearts, and he went missing today. We have no idea how he got out, but he’s an elder, indoor cat, the whole region’s in an intense heat wave, and we’re really scared. I doubt I have any followers here in Martinez, CA, but if so, help? It’s SO hot

SO DAMN GOOD!

Shamelessly reposting because I’m proud of us.

Tapping the sign.

A friendly reminder that A Fish Called Wanda anticipated most of the right-wing politics we‘re currently experiencing

It’s fun playing LIVE!!!

reminder that while I'm looking for paid writing work I am ALSO available for a variety of art commissions ratcandy.art/commissions

Why can’t we have a fat Carrie?

Getting tired of all the billionaires recreating the scariest dystopian novels like they’re blueprints.
