I'm not involved in this discourse, but my read is that we're being asked to to entertain race science (racism) by people who feel communism (using taxes to help people) is an ideological red line.

We took some swings on Blue Prints tonight. Every time we got junk from a dig, we'd get two dice. 4 triggers would unlock all doors. Went all-in on green rooms. Pulled five-FIVE!-digs with NOTHING in them, not even junk. Day ended with four locked doors and only two dig triggers. Team in shambles.

My heart is heavy. Walter Koenig, our Ensign Pavel Chekov, passed away early today. Walter and I met on the bridge of the Enterprise in the 1960s, and we stayed friends for nearly six decades. When Brad and I married in 2008, Walter stood beside us as our best man.

I never forgot you, Chuck Testa. (I use Firefox for all my stuff and it's great!)

Since 2004, this community has helped make Firefox and the open internet possible. Our “Come Back to Firefox” campaign reunites a few early internet icons to remind people what made the internet special, and why it’s worth protecting.

Name a non-LotR character who is a cool and good person but would nevertheless set land speed records for getting fucked up by The One Ring.

This post is unavailable.

This is just the end-form of EULAs, right? "You give us money and in exchange we are accountable for nothing."

Well this is eleventy-million kinds of Fucked Up. @latimes.com (who once contracted with me as a freelance reviewer and whom I struggled to get paid by) asserts that *merely reading its website* constitutes a permanent waiver of your right to sue it under *any circumstances*.

Feeling better, but I'm also on a lot of drugs. Was awake for most of today. No vomiting. Ate something for the first time since Wednesday. Rewatching an old KOTOR run by MATN.

Get ready for Star Trek: Elon Musk High School (based on works by Ayn Rand).

I'm running a bad fever, but what if the House filed one impeachment against Trump and Vance (and Hegseth)? Would Johnson get it passed because he's next in line? Could the House scramble to elect a new speaker during the Senate trial(s)? Then I get a pony.

Talarico seems like a boring guy (complimentary). A sane country would look at Republicans' strategy of pointing at him and shouting, "weird!" until idiots believe it and would reject ever taking those Republicans seriously again.

James Talarico@jamestalarico.bsky.social

The surest proof that Republicans despise their base is trying to imagine what person WOULDN'T despise people who swallow Republican lies, year-on-year.

When leaders test the limits of power what does it mean for the people?
In 1860, Frederick Douglass reminded us the Constitution belongs to the people.
It’s time to reclaim the promise of “We The People” & demand it include ALL the people…..equally.
THEN IS NOW. Our future is ours to shape. VOTE. 🗳️

My dog isn't very smart, but sometimes I've got food in my pocket, I'm hungry, and I don't eat that food. So maybe my dog doesn't think much of my intelligence eitehr.

eBay users! Don't ignore today's email, even though it looks like a boring standard update to the User Privacy Notice. They want to use your data to train AI models. If you click the link over the words "the right to object", it takes you to a page with a toggle button letting you opt out.

I wanted to really do some ARC Raiders to support the PvE playtest, but there's only one day left and I have not.

VanVelding@vanvelding.bsky.social

I would like a better version of ARC Raiders without the PVP stuff. (and maybe better robots).

This editing thing has been frustrating--especially for my editor--but I've made more progress in the last two weeks with this project then I have in years before. It's not as thorough as I wanted, but having to sit down and get *something* done is invaluable.
