it's kinda crazy that Nikola Tesla just showed up in America and did all that with electricity

why don’t right-wingers ever make diagrams with arrows and words? Seems to mainly be a leftist thing, all I see from the right is AI battle pictuer

THIS IS TRUE. As I just said in a recent appearance: fake news, propaganda, rage bait, bias-affirming slop, etc is a demand problem, not a supply one.

Lmao, this guy thinks I’m just saying "complete bullshit" Yes, I did go to the West Bank, and yes, I have actually documented it, here’s some pictures + clear evidence of the location 👇

You claim to have seen settler abuse. You have a cellphone camera, & you didn’t whip it out to document it? Pics or 🐂💩! You smuggled food & water? Where? Why? From whom? This is such a complete 🐂💩 post, it makes me think the charity you linked is most likely a jihadi terrorist front organization.

The Israeli political consensus is that it is essential for the State of Israel to continue to deny self-government or self-determination to 33% of its population indefinitely, and virtually no mainstream American analysis will even engage with this.

Let me make a sort of orthogonal point: I don’t get the attacks on immigrants - that even I’ve experienced - that sound like “you came here from a bad place.” Yeah man I know. That was the whole idea of coming here. To come to a good place where you can make something of your life in freedom.

Without defending the farmer at all, this one is on Emily Marris first and above all others.

ProPublica@propublica.org

Emily Marris’ daughter got E. coli after drinking raw milk. So she texted the farmer, who said none of the tests showed “anything abnormal.” Marris later learned that the farmer hadn’t tested for E. coli; it seemed like she didn’t know how to.

If you’ve been scrolling through social media lately, you’ve probably seen ads reminding you to register to vote. Some of these ads lead users to websites that harvest sensitive personal information and then sell it behind the scenes. www.findlaw.com/legalblogs/c...

It’s actually not kind and empathetic to ascribe false consciousness to people who are very clearly telling you why they voted for the anti-immigrant party. It’s just condescending.

William B. Fuckley@opinionhaver.bsky.social

politics is not monocausal etc etc, but we def get a bit too clever by half trying to explain why people vote for right wing parties, especially in europe imo. 'they're against immigration so they vote for the most anti-immigrant party' explains a whole lot.

The Recurring Speed Camera Discourse is a bit exasperating really because, look, we all know what's actually happening is people just want to be able to commit the pertinent crimes and don't like being punished for it, but people come up with obvious post-hoc pseudo-woke rationalisations for this.

They will betray anyone for Israel

Trofimov is correct. A third to a quarter of the firepower expended by the US in Iran, transferred to Ukraine, would have meant a Russian defeat in 2024-25. The mistake is both Biden's and Trump's.

postmodern right racism betrays a lack of confidence, in 1900 it was "white man's burden" but they recognize the West has nothing to offer the world so now it's "defend our culture"

"shrill and inflexible" is not a good foundation for tolerance, since it does not offer one of the fruits of open-mindedness, intimacy

A $3 @mta.info subway fare and some good Q train timing can buy you one hell of a view of the July 4th fireworks and the Brooklyn Bridge light show! Huge shoutout to the train operator for slow rolling over the Manhattan Bridge and the conductor for announcing it.

funny thing about trump is it's proof voters don't care about political media/pundits, though they do care about substantive facts (epstein, israel)
