Can't believe Google haven't figured out basic payments yet. Clicked on "Enhanced Bitrate", asks me to upgrade, I do the upgrade, they send me back to youtube.com? Go back to same video... Click same format, and it still asks me to upgrade? Not even one person testing this stuff or what?

People, when you get a new PSU, label all the cables for the old PSU. Here I sit with a bunch of PSU cables from three generations of PSUs yet from the same brand, and they all seemingly use different pinouts and I don't know what cable belongs to what PSU.

finally landed it! Tap is your all-in-one sync tool for the Atmosphere: webhooks, backfill, filtering, signaling collections, no cbor/msts/signatures/cursors. this thing's got it all! give it a go and let me know what you think & if you run into any issues docs.bsky.app/blog/introdu...

@tangled.org is such a great role model for projects in this moment - actually does the thing: useful, accessible - innovates/differentiates at *product* level: stacked review - hybrid at proto layer (git and AT), pulls in bsky profile data - built in europe by small amitious team #eurosky

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but that doesn't look it's using Decima anymore? Getting UE vibes from the "in game" parts, wonder why the shift? Better multiplayer capabilities in UE perhaps?

Gave Windsurf a try, asked one question about two variables used in an example script, trial credits went from 100 to 48. Usage based pricing for these sort of things is horrible, and feels like it stresses me out more than it helps.

I don't want AI where I hand off work and do other things, I want AI to help me side-by-side, augmenting human intellect rather than replacing it. I don't want AI to replace human connection, I want AI to help me find more human connections that match with myself, AI that helps me find local peeps

Trying out the new Gnome "wellness" stuff, which is kind of neat, gentle fades down the brightness, asks you to look away/take five minute stretcher. Except when the "eye strainer break" is over and there is no fade back to full brightness so it just goes from 20% brightness to 100% in an instant.

Same here, 1Password made me stop and pause while thinking "is this actually the right domain?" a lot of times because the usual list of accounts didn't show up. Not sure why people keep saying it's impossible to make it way harder to get phished, the tools are there

I might be an exception but with 1Password as my password manager AND that I don't click links for any notifications, I don't think I would. The former does the heavy lifting for me though with the domain validation piece. If I don't see a autofill pop up, I know something is up.

> They have largeish indoor markets that are more like a mini mall of individual shops like a butcher, produce, baker, cheese, even restaurants and bars Always fun to read about Americans first experience of Europe and hearing what new concepts they've discovered

If you're not already using a password manager so you can avoid phishing scams, I really recommend you to look into starting doing so. It doesn't really matter which one so much, as long as it displays a list of account when you're at the right domain, and doesn't show accounts when it's wrong
