Zelenskyy might be saving our democracy. The mad genius is bombing Russian data centers linked to FAKE NEWS bot farms. Without them, Putin’s midterm influence will accidentally fall from a 30th floor window. I 💙 Ukraine 🇺🇦

Josh Turek: We need to have campaign finance reform to get dark money out of politics. I want to sponsor a constitutional amendment to overturn Citizens United. We can have oligarchy or we can have democracy. We can't have both.

Reporting on polling should be illegal for 30 days before an election. Polls no longer measure public opinion -- they shape it because news organizations flog it so much. Imagine if the had to fill time looking at the candidates and contrasting their policies.

Lots of folks are comparing McConnell’s vote today to Feinstein’s finals days in the senate. The main difference is that Feinstein was co-sponsoring legislation to expand voting rights, while McConnell voted to cut SNAP and end environmental protections.

I am old enough to remember Richard Nixon. What he did was criminal, but basically more stupid than anything. He didn't hurt American citizens. He was just paranoid. Compare to Trumpy who has cost everyone so much, it's not even a fair comparison. Trumpy makes billions while all of us suffer.

On the 25th anniversary of 9/11, it is refreshing to see the latest technology being used to help us through a difficult time, rather than mining our personal data to annoy us, steal our identities, rip us off, and interfere with our elections.

The ultra-wealthy keep trying to pit the rest of us against each other with scare tactics ("communists!" "men in the ladies room!!" "brown people!!!" "drag queens!!!!") to keep us from noticing that our real problem is THEM. They want us to fight *any* war—except a class war. Happy Labor Day.

Ted Cruz: "Texans will vote GOP because of Biden's 'flood' of immigrants." Hey Ted, the Senate had a bipartisan plan to secure the border, but Mike Johnson refused to bring it to the floor for a vote. Sit the fuck down! #ProudBlue #Pink #SheShed

I'm not a conspiracy guy. I generally believe things happened just as they looked. But, being ex-military and working with weapons, I've yet to hear an explanation for how Bone Spurs was hit in the ear with a high-velocity rifle round and ended up with nary a scratch or a scar. It doesn't happen.

There’s lots of empty land in and near Mar-a-Lago and Bedminster, and for that matter at the very spacious estates of the tech oligarchs and the nice campuses of the tech companies. Those seem like easy places to put data centers.

Data centers bring NOTHING to communities. No jobs, no tax revenue (with all tax “incentives“). But they do take a lot… like power and water. And they noisy as hell. And pollute like crazy. And, and this is most important part, they are not producing anything useful. They built to justify AI craze
