Love how lib my high school was. A popular girl is now a small town realtor / pilates instructor, another guy almost became a pro athlete then literally won the lottery. I lurked them expecting a chud turn but instead they’re both sharing mutual aid posts between the shittiest memes you’ve ever seen

I used to think that once my YouTube channel got big enough I’d be able to parlay that into some normal media job with time off and job security. Instead everything is just creator economy now

I saw an online marketing strategist post about how the next move for brands will be AI bots shilling stuff in every group chat. Even the “dark forest” internet will soon be clearcut

instagram stories for close friends is like the last goddamn thing on the internet where you can choose who sees what you post. It's like the literal last bastion out there. Not even Patreon has this option. The loss of control by all of us over who has access to our content is so damn annoyinggggg

there is a certain kind of person across art, politics, basically every field of human endeavor who doesn't actually want to build anything, they just want an excuse to yell at other people who are building things to cover up for their deep insecurity and feelings of worthlessness

The art and knowledge that humans have produced throughout the ages is all of our collective birthright and these tech ghouls will stop at nothing to steal it from us and sell it back as a subscription service

Whenever I talk to other artsy-inclined YouTubers about our ideas and inspiration I realize that we’re just slowly reinventing making stuff about the intersection of art and technology
