I would simply suggest that if people want to defend democracy and see defeating incumbent democrats as the way to do that, then the failure lies not with the challengers and voters but with the incumbents who failed, often repeatedly, to meet the moment while squandering energy and donations.
I say this with no ill will or animosity: if you hate the Democratic Party, then please don’t run for our nomination. Don’t use our resources. Don’t rely on our volunteers. Don’t use our infrastructure. Don’t ask Democrats to invest their time, money, and energy in your campaign.

Medication abortion will be available in Missouri for the first time since 2018 after a judge determined most of the state’s abortion regulations are unconstitutional. #moleg #mogov

Something I see posted often on Bsky "I can't believe this is happening in America, what has happened to us". Our police were once slave patrols and we genocided the people who lived here first. Stop believing this was ever a "good" country. Countries can't be good or bad, only people.
In case you're thinking that paying private citizens to report their neighbors, enlisting them as a private secret police and sending those reported for life imprisonment and entry into a mass database that catalogs people deemed undesirable to the state sounds really familiar, it should.

As the longest serving member of the Senate Intelligence Committee, I can say with confidence that this bill is the biggest expansion of the government's warrantless surveillance power since the PATRIOT Act. I encourage everyone to call your Senators and urge them to vote NO on expanding FISA.
As the U.S. Senate prepares to vote on reauthorizing and expanding Section 702, we need your help to let them know: this bill is not a compromise, it’s the largest legal expansion of mass surveillance since the Patriot Act. Use this handy tool to call:

Hey @bsky.app can we please please please have the ability to remove followers and to not allow follows until we approve them, now that the site is open? Please, not having that control is dangerous and I had hoped we'd get it before this

Ohio has basically defacto banned trans healthcare for adults using a similar strategy to why there was only a handful of abortion clinics in the entire Midwest before the Dobbs decision (TRAP laws) cis people please repost this so this info doesn't get stuck in the queer social bubble
Breaking: Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine (R) bans, by executive order, gender-affirming surgery for minors, effective immediately. The move followed last week's veto of a broader bill. He also announced two proposed rules that will apply to all care, including adults. substack.com/profile/2269...
