I am at Target, casually browsing kitchen gadgets. There are 632 models of Ninja-branded air fryers. New models are being added as I stand here. If civilization were to end today, future archaeologists would surely conclude that air frying was at the center of our culture.

Interesting thoughts on the state of Trump’s brain by someone with many years’ experience working with geriatric patients with dementia.

To make things easier for Future Me, later in the day I note good starter tasks for the next one. This is helpful for my AuDHD brain. Similarly, I create a CONTINUE.md in the repo root of each AI-assisted project I’m building. Especially if you’re also juggling many projects, you should too.

This doesn’t replace issue prioritization using something like Beads or GitHub Issues, but I find it super-helpful for the “coffee loading” portion of the morning. ☕

Sometimes, Claude Code will ask you to legislate on a coding issue that really only has one correct answer. In those scenarios, you’ll need to sniff that out and push back. Here’s a typical example of how I do that and Claude’s (Opus 5.5 high) response:

Lots of people seem to up in arms about Apple TV 4K (2006) pricing, but NVIDIA SHIELD TV Pro is $300 and it’s sort of a joke in comparison. Enjoy the little chart I made:

So you’re saying my choice is (1) a caravan of families, or (2) a caravan of pedophiles, crooks, and genital-obsessed kooks 🤔

The Trump administration's scare tactics ahead of the midterms have hit a usual refrain: "migrant caravan." In reality, it's about 600 people (mostly families) who are 1,000 miles from the border. Just when gas prices keep climbing, Trump world is looking for a distraction. This is their attempt.

The most effective, budget-friendly solution for AI-assisted coding as of 9/2026: omp + DeepSeek V4 Flash. My daily driver remains Claude Code for now. But Anthropic continues to gradually nerf the speed and token allowances of their Max plans to the point that I’m actively testing alternatives.

I am not the first to make this point but imagine a woman president obsessing constantly over her “ballroom” as the economy imploded and her war spun out of control

Useful micro-prompt when coding with AI: “Any loose ends or concerns for this session so far?” (alt: “…for this session before we wrap?”) This is a good final prompt before wiping a session and its associated hot context, even if you’ve already explicitly updated supporting context (ADRs, etc.).

I ate the new McDonalds “Big Arch” product and it was…fine?…but absolutely not worth $9.36 (sandwich only, SoCal price). I now sympathize with their CEO a bit more.

In which Jeffrey Epstein, who laundered money for the Russians, explains how Donald Trump was doing exactly the same thing, and how this accounts for most of his wealth.
