the fact the president of the united states is even thinking about asserting emergency powers to disrupt an election - just a few years after he incited an armed coup attempt - should be the top issue. but the media mostly shrugs and the opposition doesnt focus on it.

Today DHS illegally arrested an Azerbaijani student at Columbia. NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani went to the White House and secured her release. I don't know if that's why he went, but he got Trump to say she'll be released—and she was. A reminder that if politicians wanted to do something, they would.

I feel so deeply sick and disgusted seeing how many people on the left are celebrating Carlson's interview with Huckabee. The "enemy of my enemy is my friend" stuff is such a dark poison in our society, and it can easily destroy the solidarity we will need to have to get where we have to go.
