I haven't posted too much about it on here, but I have become seriously concerned with the capabilities of AI. And no, I don't believe it's a "marketing stunt". In fact, it could be an extinction level threat.

Random note; since my dad passed away last December, I’ve been handling all of my mom’s mail and accounts. It is incredible. How many scams are aimed at the elderly in this country, including my companies that superficially seem legitimate. Every week her mail is full of this crap.

Our go to advice, from fire country: Have a go-bag of IDs, cash, chargers, medicine, pet and baby things ready by the door as soon as there's even talk of wildfires. Fire moves faster than a lot of things can run. Have a fire plan with your fam including meeting points and contact details

This week someone targeted my family for harm with a false report. We’re physically OK, but that doesn’t mean we weren’t harmed. I am beyond furious. Whatever your politics, this is awful, wrong, and can never become normal.
