after a while you begin to realize some folk are just performative when it comes to AI. Mihoyo and ShiftUP (Stellar Blade/NIKKE devs) are super transparent about their use of AI and people do not give a fuck. I see mutuals continue to play Mihoyo games and I'm like "y'all just don't care huh"

Maybe my disdain for getting lost in video games is stopping me from getting into more of them It really just feels like the moment there's a road bump I just lost all interest in the game

I used to desire a relationship above everything else But now it feels like people in general are just something I don't wanna deal with Some might call this character development, but I feel like I'm just getting worse as a person

I managed to go a month or so without logging back onto this site. This feels like the first time in years where I could die and have it's impact be minimal. Friends and loved ones will move on if they haven't already, and what I can give to the world is dwindling.

I used to run a podcast I used to be on a game dev team I used to be important to a few individuals Now I don't even know who I am anymore. Have I even earned the right to say that I'm Him anymore? I'm just some asshole with a degree and the ability to lift heavy shit

I think this is a good opportunity to bring up the time I was making a game for someone in gamemaker and then a few months into development he wanted to scrap all the work I made and restart work in Unity he also wanted me to make a Papers Please style minigame it was a visual novel

I'm starting to realize how small my comfort zone is with games. It took me years to get around to playing Civ. I didn't get into warframe until I had friends to carry me through content. I still haven't gotten around to learning mtg or playing the halo 1-3 fully.

I think playing both persona 5 royal and infinite wealth over the course of 4 months is starting to take a toll on me. Persona 5 alone has highlighted a lot of issues I have with story driven games like these. That game felt like the sloth scene in Zootopia.

And I know people will say that's just how jrpgs are. However: 1) Most jrpgs don't reach 100 hours in a single playthrough 2) Most jrpgs don't have voice acting, and I can read faster than voice actors can say their lines
