I’ve been feeling this same way about AI in code. I just resigned myself last year to ever figuring out how to do software without it though… because its very clear where I’ll end up if I don’t accept the reality painted by tech oligarchs and my superiors… and don’t have an alternate career path.

feeling really defeated about this, honestly. every time i find something cool I inevitably find out it was coded with claude and I start to wonder if I'm being too stubborn about it. i know it's the overton window shifting but it's making me feel crazy

Fact is I need to feed my family, they depend on my ability to adapt to the tech industry. I honor those who have the luxury to remove themselves from the equation… in the meantime I will be fighting the fight as best I can from the inside. Pray for me. 🫩

Truly strange working agency throughout this because every company is in a VASTLY different state with AI software tools. Truly the only way I think we win is by proper education on how and when to use it with deep nuance instead of “use it or don’t and get fired”. Sorry y’all.
