1ccs are cool, but americans are hardwired to assume that everything that asks for money is out to scam them (they're usually right) so it's no surprise that they don't take games with a blatant incentive to kick you off the cab in good faith.
Painful review of the Capcom Beat 'Em Up Bundle on Steam that really highlights how destructive the continue system was to people's perception of arcade games. The beat 'em ups mentioned play wildly different from one another if you're actually trying to survive on 1 credit.

Instead of ending daylight saving time, how about switching to Docky Hexatime? 16 hours per day. 16 minutes per hour. 256 seconds per minute. docky.net/hexatime/

There was a fucking hole in our planet’s *atmosphere* Like a legit, no joke, “this will unravel our entire ecosystem” hole in the world, and then we fixed it by working together across national and political lines As a species we decided, “we will survive” Let’s do that some more
Social media loves talking about how everything is getting worse. But what’s something that you’ve seen get _better_ in your lifetime?

This article on The House in Fata Morgana is a front for an existential crisis over a defunct history park, which in itself is a front for an article on how incredible The House in Fata Morgana is. Thank you so much to @mothership.blog for letting me write this! It was a really great experience.

I've seen a few people recently point out this Skinner Box behavior to current LLMs. And since a little bit of unreliability increases engagement I wonder if any LLM company operating under capitalist incentives would ever be incentivized to push errors as low as possible on a public-facing model.
I'm sure it's good that over the past several days I have seen multiple vibecoding people say their individual versions of "yeah this is like playing a slot machine for me and I find it hard to stop and I love that actually"

This is bad enough that if you run anything public-facing with PHP, you should shut it down until you can patch PHP. This is not a drill, do it now. Seriously.
details leaked. this vulnerability is a full unauthenticated unconditional remote code execution exploit against any service running on a PHP version from 5.4 until latest yeah if anything deserves CVSS 11, this is it. this is CATACLYSMICALLY bad.
