I gotta say, political ads have gotten progressively more and more unhinged over the last 10 years, but some of the ads I’ve seen this cycle are batshit crazy. One with a series of logical statements that ended in “Liberals are the new racists” gave me a particularly hearty chuckle.

I'm so upset Eric Bauza passed away so suddenly. That's so fucking tragic. The fact that his career started with fucking Adult Party Cartoon should have been a death sentence. But he showed there was nowhere to go but up. It's such an inspiring story and may he rest in peace.

One of the biggest things that I adored about Wildwood was the fact that Laika hired cinematographer Caleb Deschanel to shoot it. It was a bold choice knowing he has shot amazing classics like Being There and The Right Stuff and he really helps give the stop motion amazing depth.

Just three days into August, this is already the most challenging, devastating fire season our state has experienced in years. Our hearts are with the people all over our state who have had their lives turned upside-down by these disastrous wildfires.

I just got back home in Washington and heard about the news for the Spokane fires. Fuck the person who started it. I wish you nothing but the worst.

I now fervently believe this. Relatedly, I think celebrating good news and embracing joy are equally radical. You have to remember what you’re fighting for. We cannot sustainably organize around sorrow.

Saying we should all go back to physical media I think misses the point. I actually *like* buying games and movies digitally for a bunch of reasons. What we need is better consumer protections so the things we do buy digitally are actually owned and companies cant delete/revoke access!
