Counting stops at whatever is the peak for him. It looked like a landslide when he went to bed 3 weeks ago, so it will forever be a landslide. (that being said, I’m sure most people don’t know the gap closed up a lot as counting wrapped up)

Seems natural for humans to hate those they suppose act immorally, unethically, who do evil in this world. In the USA, fascists and Christo-fascists hate all who support democracy, the US Constitution, the rule of law, freedom of religion, etc. Others see their values and deeds, hate them in return.

Yes. And I think it's an interesting ideas, but it seems rather cold and inhuman, and I'm not sure the practical difference. Back then, you see a Nazi shoot a baby in the head. You don't hate him for it, although you disagree his actions. But you still shoot him, right? So he doesn't do it again?

I’m reading “The Rise and Fall of the third Reich.” The similarity of the tactics and oratory employed by Trump to those used by Hitler is unnerving. As is the collection of cranks he has amassed at the core of the MAGA movement, similar to those Hitler collected in Munich to form the Nazi Party.

gerrymandering doesn't affect presidential races though? frankly given the past 40 years of electoral history, a republican winning the /popular/ vote might as well be considered a landslide, it's only happened twice in my life and i'm in my late 30s

1/3. Trump never won the People's vote. Putting aside the millions of voters purged from rolls, the massive voter suppression and missing 20 million votes... there is no mandate that he is now lying about. He got 49% and only 29.27% of the total electorate.
