“I’m not saying I’m GOING to declare myself Emperor-God For Eternity, but if you decide you want me to and don’t say no, maybe I’ll think about how we can make that happen.”
Frankly I'm motivated to fight these next four years. He wants to make us miserable. Let's make him miserable. He hates this job just wants the admiration.
Trump is deteriorating so fast that he's unlikely to even be able to serve out this entire term...
Unless the infighting gets so bad that J.D. Vance's enemies find it strategic to keep Trump in the Oval Office no matter how senile he gets.
And of course anything he does in an official capacity now has complete immunity, so what's to stop him declaring a state of emergency and banning all elections?
On the bright side, I give that fucker's tiny black heart about six more months tops.
(And if I'm wrong I don't think Vance will hesitate to 25th ammendment his way into the big chair. This is going to be Succession with even shittier people.)
Yeah, but Vance doesn't have the charisma to keep the MAGA coalition together.
It's strictly a cult of personality.
Once Trump dies, there will a mad scramble to see who is the new GOP leader. The backstabbing will be amazing.
Thank God for the 22nd Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, which limits the president to two terms in office. And yes, amendments are really hard to change.
Most likely we'd get a president JD Vance with Trump controlling things behind the scenes, similar to what Putin did when Russia still had term limits and Medvedev was president.
It’s a little tiny bit HYSTERICALLY FUNNY that these MAGAts Won the Election are are supposedly SO HAPPY yet they still can’t stop bickering & fighting with every Democrat they see.
WTF is wrong with them?!?(nevermind…I’ll see myself out🥺😰)
Everyone saying Obama can run against him is delusional as the GOP will find a way to block him. They'll claim that he had 2 back to back terms whereas Trump hasn't (another thing Trump is stealing from Putin).
This should not surprise anyone who knows how this tyrant thinks. He will try it. That's why he's putting loyal idiots this time around. He learned from his first presidency.
UUUUUUUGGGGGHHHHH
absolutely deranged
This should be a "that boy's not right in the head" moment because it's literally not how anything works
but here we are
If he's going to end up with all 3 branches and the Supreme Court there is actually no point in having elections in 2026 which wilk soften up America to accept the end of elections period . Mission creep
he told us himself as clearly as he could.
“He’s (Xi) now president for life. President for life. And he’s great. I think it’s great. Maybe we’ll give that a shot someday.” - trump, 3/4/18
I come back to social media for three seconds after over a day away (detoxing after deactivating Twitter) - and I learn the clown show is in full force.
Eeeesh.
Back to burying my head in the sand.
I suspect he'll pull the "I can't step down because of the war we're in". Which war is that? Oh the one he'll start so he can say "I can't step down because of the war we're in"
The Republicans managed a constitutional amendment to prevent another FDR. I don't think a super majority will support amending it again for someone who will be certifiable soon.
Seems like 22A only says he can’t be *elected* POTUS again but that he could be elected VP. Seems like he could run as VP, being the center of the campaign, with a stooge at the top of the ticket - perhaps a family member who shares the same name - who will resign after being inaugurated.
I understand that 12A says that no one who is ineligible to be POTUS can be VP, and legal scholars generally agree that this would preclude a 2 term POTUS from being VP, but the text doesn’t say that he can’t serve as POTUS, only that he can’t be elected.
Shitler's aspirations to be a dictator are concerning.
But I'm slightly less concerned knowing he's a 78 year old male (life expectancy ~ 8.5 years), obese, unfit and already showing signs of dementia.
He'll likely be ousted via 25A (section 4) by mid 2026.
This would mean appealing the 22nd amendment (which requires two third majority in congress). To get to a place where this vote would be possible would likely mean Trump has arrested his opposition in congress. We're already well into civil war territory at this point.
Two-thirds of Congress *and* 3/4 of state legislatures. Only been done 27 times in 235 years, and the first 10 were in one fell swoop when there were only 13 states.
Thanks for adding that. The only scenario where I could see the 22nd amendment being appealed right now would be one in which we already have in effect a Trump dictatorship. And at that point Obama theoretically being able to run means next to nothing.
I'm really, really, really, hoping that accounts here don't start posting these over and over and over. They know this works to rile up the left. Why participate?
