Walz: "'I don't know, do you really think limiting them to less than 100 bullets is going to do anything?' Yes! Yes it is. Yes it is going to save lives ... it's time to start reporting that that is all bullshit. It does do something. It does make a difference."

The Constitution says we can have guns. Alito says abortions weren't a think when the Constitution was crafted, so they are not protected by the Constitution. Fine! Brass shells weren't around either. Not was smokeless powder, during pens and semi and full auto weapons, just muzzle loaders.

Idaho has groups that watch for the bullet supplies at the gun shops. Then they send someone to go buy them all up each time the stores resupply. There are a few groups with a lot of ammo for in case?! I don’t know how you can control mass shootings when there’re so many bullets!

Universal background checks, mandatory secure storage and red flag laws cover all firearms and have 80-90% public support. With assault weapon bans, that support drops into the 60s. Why do people want to start where there is the least support?! AR15s account for less than 5% of annual firearm deaths

1/ It’s simple: no handguns or guns that can easily be concealed (outlaw handguns). Only basic, manually operated (no semi-autos or autos) hunting rifles and shotguns allowed. ALL guns must be both trigger-locked and stored in a locked safe, so no using guns for “home defence.” Carrying a gun in

2/ public is strictly outlawed, with car transport similar to home storage: locked triggers in a locked case. 5- shot magazines maximum. Require a difficult-to-get licence. This all describes Canada‘s gun situation. It was not difficult to implement, with only a few crackpots fighting against it.

Well let me see. In the “good old days” of yore a good huntsman needed only one bullet or a well placed arrow to take down a deer. Today seems to be a struggle for someone with an AR-15. Where is Hollywood when you need them? More light sabers?

Since the Supreme Court says we can’t regulate assault weapons because of the second amendment let’s go after the bullets regulate the bullets that’s how we stop it.

Won't likely do very much, will it? But on the other hand, it might do a great more than doing nothing at all, even if it only saves one innocent life. But how many bullets do the perps usually run through in one of these mass murder event? Surely we have plenty of data on that in the USA.

Well, got news for ya. Sarah Sanders as governor is very sickening. We had Chris running against her. Very educated, rocket scientist if I remember correctly. Family man. Heads over Sarah. He was black. That was the thing that probably broke it. Racists. Sarah was a lying press secretary for Trump.

If we don’t end guns in urban and suburban areas, let’s have insurance requirements on every gun sold. The insurance coverage would require various steps to even own a gun. Both cars and guns are lethal weapons.

Gun insurance only works if the consequences for harm with a firearm paid out a large surety to the injured. And then having the insurance companies contact the police if the user was in breach. This might stop some. But it would require gun shops, shooting ranges, and venders to get on board.

Also, the assault weapon bullets are designed to maximize damage , tearing through flesh and bone in a catastrophic way! With AR 15 or AK 47, you don’t have the “oh the bullet went clean through” 100 rounds a minute and devastating rounds THAT is why a ban on assault weapons is needed!

Definitely not what the original 2nd Amendment says: namely both sides tend to get it wrong. Muskets are not suitable skills to draw militia from these days, but... you don't need huge firepower and capacity to be familiar with modern rifles.

The data indicates that mass shootings are a uniquely American problem among developed nations, with the U.S. being an extreme in both frequency and related deaths. The U.S. stands alone in the prevalence of mass shooting incidents among its economic peers.

🤦🏻‍♀️🤬 #Democrats STOP your cowardly ways End Gun lobbies, end NRA No guns, NO bullets, if you kill someone w a gun, it’s an automatic life sentence, no parole, no presidential pardons, no nothing Yes, there are accidental shootings, use common sense. Our entire judicial system must be revamped

The one word I never hear from gun enthusiasts any more is 'Responsible.' Responsible gun ownership, responsible shooting practices, responsible shooting instruction. It's a single word that can, eventually, make all the difference.

40 Rounds is plenty, who the hell uses more than that when they are hunting? If they want to fire more than that they can go to a range and do it there and be supplied with ammo by the range. Its all bull due to SOTUS's deliberate misinterpretation od the 2nd Amendment.

I tend to agree with Waltz, but no harm in trying. But I have always said, tax bullets to the point it is $10 or more per bullet. That will force people with guns to lock up their ammunition and keep track of every single bullet. Of course, that tax needs to be nation wide.

(Please don't slam me for asking a legitimate question) If every weapon leaves it's unique signature on a round, why can't each weapon be fired and that round data logged with the serial number and purchaser information in a national/international database, similar to the way fingerprints are?

Weapons don't leave unique signiatures, ballistic analysis isn't good enough to reliably track a round to a specific gun. Besides, the govt isn't allowed to make a searchable database of gun owners, because an admin could use that to target and disarm any chunk of the population it doesn't like.

Exactly. Making a database would literally give a bad actor or bad administration a list of people to target. A gun database is different than a medical database but it can still be used to make groups of already vulnerable people more vulnerable.

CRUEL POTUS & HIS Adm HAVE.. GRIFTED OUR TAXPAYERS $$$ for Jets, Golf, Destruction of East Wing, Fake Gold, PAID PARDONS, FALSE DEPORTATIONS & BRIBES... BUT AMERICA CANNOT AFFORD to INCREASE HSG/FOOD/JOBS MKT, SNAP, GIVE MEDICARE FOR ALL & GUN CONTROL! THAT IS WHAT GREED LOOKS LIKE!

I think the maximum magazine capacity here in Australia, is 6? Not sure, gave away my last gun 50 years ago. The OK Coral here in Australia is a group of blokes standing in a circle telling the others to fuck off.. Then we go home for a beer. Gun control is also an attitude control.

The reason the media went after Walz with the fake “Chinese Connection” stories was because he isn’t afraid at telling the truth: that the media is peddling bullshit propaganda to help Republicans (as Walz just noted here.)

Any gun owner who says the reloading of a semi takes the same time as reloading a bolt, a lever action, a revolver, or a pump long gun, is lying, or citing the exceptions like speed shooters or competition shooters. Most, nearly all, semiautomatic weapons take less than 10 seconds to fully reload.

If they don't want to register their guns -- put serial numbers on all of the ammunition. That way it's on record who bought the bullets that were used in these shootings!

If limiting bullets doesn’t do anything, why do folks fight so hard to make sure they can have thousands? Anyway, smaller-capacity handguns are still the largest source of gun violence, by far.

In Malaysia the possession of a single bullet or drugs means a death sentence. No, 100 bullet restrictions are a total waste of time. Shooters expect to be killed - they are not bothered about any laws.

Sad when we regulate over the counter cold medications more than we do guns & ammunition. Need to stop cold medicine abuses & deaths, but no way can we do a number of simple sensible things to combat gun violence. WTF?!?

I always found it kind of funny. Around here, people are like, "govt is gonna take our guns! Let them try!" Then they proceed to tell about a hunting trip where they missed a standing deer from 15 yards away

I’m down with limiting weapons and bullets. Let’s start with the cops. We should have the exact same ability to protect ourselves as the cops do. So let’s take their guns first so they don’t have monopoly of force then we disarm citizens.

Something needs 2 change. Yet: I guess I need to know if: How many bullets do shooters expend on avg? Does having more than 100 bullets makes shooters feel more empowered. How do you know they aren’t stockpiling? Target range firing maybe uses that many. Where’s the narrow end of the funnel?

If a bullet limit wouldn’t make a difference, then it also couldn’t possibly be objected to on 2nd Amendment grounds. You can’t argue both that a proposed restriction is so trivial that it won’t matter and that it’s so strict that it infringes on a core right.

I dunno. It'll make a difference to everyone after the first 100 who are shot at. I'm sorry, America, I like Walz, but WHAT THE FUCK. WHY DO YOU HAVE FUCKING GUNS EVERYWHERE?

Serious response: guns are part of our national story. 2nd Am. From revolution to pioneer in the wilderness to cowboys & Indians. That’s all before the civil war (and some beyond with the Western battles btwn Indians and the Gov). Type of gun matters. AR have no business w/ civilians. Most agree.

There’s big money and big fantasy in the 20% that keeps the 80% from getting laws passed. Purposefully conflating AR w 2A rights. A shotgun, a hunting rifle, & a pistol (revolver, even) solve any problem a normal human might face. Or any sporting reason like hunting. AR made 2 kill humans. End of.

Because of three hundred years of gun culture. “I’m armed, so nobody can take what I have from me and my family” is one of the most resonant beliefs of rural America, and has been since before the constitution was written. It is a deep, earnest cultural belief.

Exactly. That's why gun control bills that get proposed rarely get support, or are found unconstitutional. They go against the national culture. A better solution to reduce violence would be to fix the reason it happens in the first place, rather than ban guns as a band aid solution.

The question is: why are these people objecting to only "getting" 100 bullets. Why do they think they need them in unlimited quantities? If you know you only get 100, maybe think before you shoot. Thank you, Governor.
