Many "Christians" in America have never actually read the Bible, instead they just listen to what their pastor tells them is in the Bible and it is these pastors who rather than teach the Bible, or challenge some of the views of their audience instead pander to the bigotry of their audience.

There is NO short term pain for the parents of a dead child. I know this from personal experience. Those families will live with the vacant seat at the table forever. The pain is life changing and not in a good way. To be so fucking nonchalant about soldiers dying on your watch hurts my heart.
