Rep. Brian Mast: "Ok, maybe they do end up getting $20 billion, let's say. Let's say we're still $300 to $500 billion ahead considering we destroyed their navy, destroyed their air force ... " (So American taxpayers paid both to bomb Iran and then for Iran's reconstruction ... )

Yep. Now all our ME allies will be shifting their alliances because we have been exposed as a paper tiger. Everything this country has been building for the past 80 years is being flushed down the drain with the approval of the entire Republican party.

This is 2026, and Iran doesn’t have ambitions towards global domination. They don’t need the expense of a navy They have proven they can shut down the Strait of Hormuz with speed boats, mines and drones; and can reach Israel with land-based missiles. The loss of the navy was liberating.

I'm so, so tired of the endless parade of mealy mouthed spineless, vapid bootlickers. Good grief. I didn't realize the real cottage industry of the United States was the production of incompetent, unimaginative, and impotent white dudes. Embarrassing.

Isn’t this money their money being released back to them? The U.S. sanctioned Iran and captured their oil money that was being held in U.S. banks. Money was being authorized for humanitarian purposes like medicine. Used in negotiations for reparations in an illegal war. Obama had an agreement.💁‍♀️

Me: “So, I had to pay my neighbor $10k to get access to my driveway, but before that I did like $40k worth of damage to his house. Winning!” Q: “So what if you never did that damage in the first place? Wouldn’t you be $10k better off?” Me: “Sounds like someone wants me to destroy their house…”

Blew up a bunch of old worn out F-14s from pre 1979, some obsolete MiGs and a tiny coastal navy but the US still can't make the Strait of Hormuz open for navigation. Good Job by Trump and Kegstand.

We also lost 42 United States military aircraft—costing an estimated $2.6 billion. which will cost more to replace. These people are the dumbest fucking people on this planet.

More insane pretzel logic from Republicans. "We destroyed $500B worth of their shit and we're only gonna pay to rebuild $20B of that shit so we're still ahead." Why are we paying anything? And what is Israel ponying up? Oh that's right, they aren't on board with the deal so get ready for more war.

These kinds of arguments have overtaken the US and if allowed to continue will only end after there is nobody and nothing left to destroy. It is monstrous.

"The official direct military cost of the war in Iran is $29 billion, according to the latest Pentagon figures released by acting Comptroller Jules Hurst. ...the total direct and indirect financial burden ranges anywhere from $47 billion to over $113 billion..." How does that equal "WE'RE AHEAD?"

People are starting to get really pissed off at me when I point out how many Americans don't care about this, & will either sit out the Midterms or believe Republicans telling them Democrats want to eat their pets & turn their kids into drag queens. A large swath of America is dead from the neck up.

America paid to destroy Iran, and that money went into billionaires' pockets. Now America will have to pay to rebuild Iran, and that money will go into billionaires' pockets. Why not bomb the fucking billionaires and save the taxpayers a bunch of money?

They approved when Reagan traded arms for hostages held by Iran. It’s alleged the Reagan campaign had even secretly negotiated with Iran in order to beat Carter in 1980. Anything goes, because of the superior firepower of the Republican spin machine. www.pbs.org/newshour/sho...

“Ok yeah we’re gonna give them a lot of money, but we also spent a lot of money blowing their shit up (they were also gonna have to pay to fix)!” Bro what the fuck?

This is the worst deal ever, and then he’ll claim victory as if he did something other than start and unnecessary war, waste billions, and be responsible for dead and wounded soldiers.

Cost of over 100 dead school girls.... priceless. These fucking ghouls aren't the least bit concerned with the, probably, thousands of innocent people killed in this illegal war. But Mast is a Netanyahu stan so, easy for him. (Also bombs aren't free)

@housedemocrats.bsky.social need to demand that the details of this agreement be disclosed to the American ppl. We shouldn't have to wait until the next administration comes into office before discovering all the backroom deals that were made. Remember the Taliban deal that bound Biden?

Only a Trumper could think that spending billions of our money to destroy billions worth of someone else's stuff "put's you ahead". Fucking morons, the lot of them.

"We" are not 3-500 billion ahead. We have been paying outrageous prices for food housing & gas that came about as a result of this illegal war. We gained NOTHING. Not a damned thing. We are worse off than we were before the war, we are worse off than before trump stole the election Stop gaslighting

Mast knows Trump is a child molester who raped children, but he still continues to make excuses for him because that’s what child molester protectors do. Trump has surrendered to the son whose father he killed and has paid him billions of our tax dollars for the disrespect he has shown Iran.

Let the spin cycle begin. The MoU text has yet to be released, why the delay? Trump auto signed along with Vance the surrender document last night, right before he fell asleep at the WH gladiator fights. Release the MoU text, release the Epstein files, release tax returns.

The so-called "fiscal conservatives" (in)action! Whatever happened to cutting that debt they all wanted to do? It's now at the HIGHEST-ever level, more than our GDP. Doesn't bode well for us who are not the Epstein elite...

That’s the Art of the Deal: Create a problem most people didn’t even know existed. Take a tough public stance. Negotiate a deal that’s no better—or even worse—than the original situation. Then declare a huge victory. The real skill isn’t improving the deal. It’s controlling the narrative.

These Morons are trying to- justify the mistakes they made and the amount of money wasted without considering the damage caused to the American Families indirectly-by fucking the economy and the lose of their military family members in this 'mistake of a war' for what?- ask yourself that question

He is a moron. From Florida and appears not to have gotten a degree from 2 places he attended (one is Palm Beach U). Degrees don’t = smarts I know that but they can be indicative

He doesn't get it... This was already a done deal where we got the best outcome possible until the orange bloat destroyed the existing agreement so he could kill people, manipulate the market, and steal more oil.

Good follow-up questions: What did their air force consist of? If we destroyed their navy, how did they keep the Strait of Hormuz closed? Just another f@@ing stupid republican from Florida!
