I was in San Francisco 30 years ago and took BART to Oakland just for the ride.
I was in the front car so went to peek into the driver's cabin... and saw nobody! 😲
When I got off the train I waited for it to leave to see if the driver was in the rear car and again nobody!
Is BART still driverless?
I used to ride BART from El Cerrito to downtown San Francisco. I happened to have a partially used ticket in my possession when I traveled to Washington DC. I was able to use my BART ticket to ride on the DC Metro, because they used the same vendor. Doesn't work now, tho.
Trains connect more than cities. They bring together countless stories, dreams, and destinations. Every journey is a reminder that sometimes the beauty lies not in where we're going, but in what we discover along the way.
