We need immigration reform! Get rid of ICE! INS CBP can handle immigration. $307 Billion budget thru 2028 5x more $ 30,000 more Goons! 100,000 beds. Costing 2-3x more than a State felon bed! 72% no crimes except undocumented a 6 month jail $1000 fine max sentence! Then deportation.

This overdue and absolutely essential. ICE should NEVER have been authorized to be the lawless rogue, poorly trained group of thugs that it is. It’s a shameful organization - wipe the slate clean and start over,

Yes, they will... and Trump will veto it. To overide that veto and make it law despite the veto requires a 2/3rds vote in both chambers. So the Dems would need 290 votes in the 435 seat House, and 67 votes in the 100 seat Senate. Not happening.

If the elected do not act swiftly and punitively I suggest, you bend over stick, your head between your legs and kiss your ass good bye OR Demand better Hold their feet to the fire Do not accept any less than immediate return of the robbed Protections Dismantling ice Justice reform and so much...

Typically with no source or link, its usually false info. I just saw this in my feed & asked who penned it or brought it forward. It is sad that ppl keep circulating stuff b4 fact checking & getting ppls hopes up. Hopefully the Dems will do it though.

I have zero faith anything will happen; as the DEMS will look to find common ground with MAGA. Until around March 2028, when then the campaign starts again.

I'll believe it when I see it happening. I'm not interested in slogans or words, followed the next day by a text message asking for a contribution. Propose it. Vote on it. Pass it or show us who voted to not pass it. Actions are all I care about.

Qualified immunity should be abolished for all law enforcement personnel. In other nations, law enforcement officers are not above the law and, consequently, conduct themselves with greater professionalism.

Why do they have qualified immunity now? They have committed murder. ICE as we know it today needs to be disbanded and unfunded. If hypothetically they perform an essential function this isn’t it.

Qualified Immunity is akin to pardoning someone before they have committed a crime…in the constitution, they call a pardon issued before a crime has been committed ‘the line between mercy and license’.

Lucky us, we have these ready made Concentration Camps we can throw ICE's rapist, racist, murdering asses into and throw away the fucking keys

That isn't going to happen. A lot of things you post aren't a possibility at all. I do not like people to be fooled. I assume your are new to 'MERICA? i ADVISE UNFOLLOWING THE PAGES YOU ARE NOW FOLLOWING.

And I wanna live long to enough to see an Alex Jeffrey Pretti II become a nurse like the first one so he never has to go through this horror again...

A well deserved honor. But I sure would like to hear where Renee is in all this. She was murdered first, yes? They can't both be on the bill? I can think of one reason why she's not in this instance but i want to hear the thinking behind this. Please.

Sorry, these Corporate/AIPAC owned democrats couldn’t pass a bill to end mall cops qualified immunity, the swines now on steroids with money far exceeded FBI, DEA, ATF & most Countries military, globally! But sure, Shumer & Hakeem are on it if it means a few billion dollars to Israel in fine prints.

You think Schumer and Jeffries, two dinosaur politicians owned by the same Corporate/Super PAC's that own the GOP would allow this to happen? You need your head examined! Will never happen under their (bought and paid for) watch!!!

The agents can demand that charges be moved to federal court. Qualified immunity is then brought up and usually charges are dismissed for they were acting 'under color of law'.

How do they plan on doing that? Who marked up the bill? Who is planning on how to pass it with a veto proof margin? How are they going to get results instead of issuing wants? What're their budget priorities?

They can pass the bill. That would be awesome. But even if it passes in both chambers, unless it passes with an overwhelming majority, no way the Felon will sign it, and he'll most likely veto it.

thats good then we can start getting back into the GOOD graces of not only the American people BUT our allies some of which go back to the last time a dictators' regime "tried to conquer the world".

Accountability for the henchmen, yes, and also definitely for those giving the orders in violation sof the U.S. Constitution; Miller, Noem, Homan, Lewandowski, et al. They are responsible for the deaths on the streets and in the detention centers.

Yeah… my emotions were saying WTF is wrong with this country? My knowledge was trying to answer the question by surmising the history of this country where people get away with cold blooded murder, and Justice For All only exits in movies as Fairytales

As federal law enforcement officers, ICE have "qualified immunity", i.e. the court refuses to prosecute them unless they do something the court has already prosecuted an officer for before. This bill could have DRASTIC consequences, if the coming cases undermine future QI.

Good consequences for us, that is. Officers have already been violating the Constitution for years and years and getting away on QI. If these cases count, then QI will protect way less behaviors from the police, since ICE have committed such a wide bevy of offenses.

Not good enough. Defund them, investigate them and jail anybody who broke the law. Release every detainee who has no criminal record. Move enforcement back to the Border Patrol and sharpen the rules for them. Install more IG personnel to maintain standards for arrest and treatment of detainees.

I’d prefer the Alex Pretti Act be the one that zeros out ICE’s budget and uses that money to fix our legal immigration system - the way we’ve been promised congress would do for the last FOUR DECADES.

if, and i know its long shoot but if we get a super majority- it will pass without him, even if not but close enough we might get some gop jumping ship
