I pull the plug a year or two ago. After some messy instances that match was messing up my library, mostly around ID3 tags, causing single songs on one version of an album to associate with some alternate album, so I ended up with weird partial mix of original, deluxe, reissue, and best of albums.

I had around dozen albums, mostly weird video game and tv compilations, and electronica, that aren’t on Apple Music and I decided I could live without those to just simplify my mobile listening situation.

Mine is due next month, because I first signed up for it while on vacation to Chicago to visit an old girlfriend’s family for thanksgiving

It is a genuine delight when I play Odelay on my iPhone in 2026, and the same old Napster-cooked MP3 with a static burst in the middle that I’ve been hearing for almost 25 years comes up when Sissyneck plays.

I am so afraid of what will happen when they find out they're still providing this service! I am paying for this like a sucker!

It does! And it integrates them into Apple Music as if they *were* part of the service. And you get up to 20TB of storage! And nobody knows!

I do not use Match and I have songs that I’ve added to my library that have been replaced with totally unrelated songs for reasons I cannot understand (the metadata isn’t close to the same)
