Hear us out: The richest person in the world should not be allowed to dump hundreds of millions to affect the midterm elections. This is not a radical idea. We need campaign finance reform.

Elon should lose everything. If he leaves the US he can keep whatever personal effects he can carry with him on the plane. If he refuses to leave... then everything.

I’m so sick and tired of billionaires buying our Politicians!!! This is our Chance to Change things! #VoteBlue 💙Everywhere #ElonMuskHasTooMuchPower

" Musk donated upwards of $200m (£150m) in the quarter that ended on 30 September $158m.. went to Paxton in Texas Texas has offered Musk fewer government regulations and no state personal income tax and no corporate income tax" Texan taxpayers pay for these bribes. www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

Even if you accept that money = speech (I don’t / no one should), how is it right that one man can effectively drown out the speech of everyone else through the vast accumulation of wealth?

Democrats should call a package of Supreme Court reforms the Brandeis Reforms, aim to pass it in January 2029, and overturn Citizens United, Dobbs, Callais ASAP. “We can have democracy in this country, or we can have great wealth concentrated in the hands of a few, but we can't have both.”

Wow! Did you figure that out by yourself? This is like a drunk teaching you not to drink, while having a bar full of drinks. In the end the world will see americans as the pretenders they are, this is as far as american restistance goes - state the obvious on social media while it it happening.

If only there was a Republican president, senator or representative who didn't mind "pay to play" or buying a 🪑 and repaying with deals that we the American citizens repay them back with our tax dollars.

Anyone who has large contracts with the US government should not be able to finance campaigns, says once the money earned comes from American taxpayers.

We do need that and many more; but right now let us make sure we get all citizens to vote and get their votes properly counted in the immediate election! Let's first get the horse out of the burning house first, we can worry about the buggy later.

We need a wealth tax, a highly-accelerated progressive income tax, and a highly accelerated estate tax. What we don't need are trillionaires and billionaires.

“Speech is language-based communication by natural persons. Money is not speech, and the expenditure, contribution, or transfer of money or other transactional value for the purpose of purchasing, amplifying, or influencing political speech may be regulated or limited by law.”

That & tax policy & SCOTUS reform. Taxation is a tool that can either help prevent or totally encourage wealth inequality. The US has drifted way too far towards the latter & needs a radical course correction. There shouldn’t be a billionaire class. Period.

The corrosive toxicity of Musk’s wealth and manipulation of not just elections but actual wars, democratic decisions and structure of government is off the charts. We need a very clear plan for breaking up Musk’s wealth, nationalizing Space, and Starlink and prosecuting him for fraud and corruption.

He shouldn't be able to control most communication satellites either. That's way too much power for an erratic white supremacist that's sworn fealty to trump and white ethnocentrism. He needs to be pushed out of all of his companies

Our national security should not be in the hands of a private company led by a drug addled megalomaniac.
