Some of President-elect Donald Trump’s Cabinet selections could force Republicans to choose between their allegiance to Trump and their growing concerns that some of his nominees might not be up for the job – or might not be possible to confirm in a narrowly controlled Senate

I don’t know that the word “unorthodox” completely covers just how crazy Trump‘s nominations have been. I don’t know if I could’ve chosen people who were more unqualified, corrupt, or pathetic than the nominees that he has chosen if I had a year and my goal was to choose freaks. Very sad!

This headline should be about the allegiance to white nationalism and the tattoos that show connection the the Proud Boys. Stop failing. Stop normalizing the real dangers. #trumpwhitenationalism

Unorthodox? You mean his Cabinet of Criminals. Stop it, CNN. A message for Michael Bass: You used the Trump firehose to stay afloat while internet killed TV news. You sold him, 24 hrs a day. At least be honest: He a rapist, secret-selling, money-laundering faux President.

Those GOP members almost always bent to Trump's will the last time around. With Trump now having an even tighter hold on GOP, highly likely they will be even more supportive of his banditry & vindictiveness.

These destructive #Trump cabinet picks have deatheater #SteveBannon all over them. As with any gang member, shouldn't his supervised release conditions prohibit him from associating with the same people that led to his prior criminality? Where's #MerrickGarland? I know. Dumb question.

Time to contact every republican senator to remind them they work for us we pay their salaries we vote for them. Their livelihood depends on us. Time to push back let our voices be heard.

When the mob reminds you that you are the enemy of the people and you are rounded up and herded off to the American version of Dachau I hope you have a moment of clarity as the doors to your cattle car slam shut behind you.

Or, for example, a rapist might be a bit "unorthdox". WTF is wrong with you guys? Why can't you call them what they are, batshit crazy affronts to political norms that are just a giant middle finger to every one of us. Fourth Estate my ass

It was immediately obvious that several of Trump's worst nominations were tests for the Senate (Gabbard, Hegseth, Gaetz, etc). If they confirmed them or at least signaled that they would, Trump would know they wouldn't stand in his way after he took office.

Isn’t “Unorthodox” a bit of a WEAK way to describe these picks? THIS is why we quit watching you. The picks are outright NUTS. Call it what it is, please.

so we are using unorthodox instead of fascist? well, i guess people who reflect on the role of media in fascism will have to parse the roll of CNN blue sky posts at some future date. for me, i see how you betray fact to uphold fascists.

I see, @cnn.com . We are now calling appointees who are unqualified, dangerous, inexperienced, lying, corrupt, conflicted (of interests), immoral, disqualifying ... "unorthodox"? I see. This is how we got here.

Smoke and mirrors. Distractions allow for the last min. slip in. Trump is not in charge. He is the puppet to distract what's been in motion for a while. Some pretending to be anti-Trump. They fed you false hope. Think about it and let it sink in.

Why are they worried? The country elected a rapist & felon as president to represent our country & and an old pinup playgirl as a first lady. The Republicans should remember what their opinions were when Trump first came on the scene. Before they were bought off by Project 2025.
