I'm no fan of the church but this is an extremely good thing as it's basically acknowledging that in the eyes of the church god does make us trans and that could help a lot for acceptance

But they are taken seriously by millions of people around the world and any step towards trans acceptance by the church is GOOD. You don’t have to like them or even give them credit, but it will help push back against the right-wing narratives that are killing trans people and that’s a good thing.

Individual parishes often do, even though that's not the stance of the larger church. The Pastor of my Catholic Church says that gay, divorced, transgender are welcome in the church every Sunday.

This shift could spark significant discussions within the Catholic community and beyond. It's a complex issue that touches on ethics, identity, and compassion. It will be interesting to see how this new stance influences broader societal views on gender and acceptance.
