This amounts to a poll tax. I sometimes wonder if JD Vance would have to provide the many documents tracing his various name changes back to his birth certificate in order to register his citizenship and establish voting rights.

Luckily I have those but you're right. It cost me about $50 to obtain those. And, little known fact, if you have those docs, they aren't good enough under the SAVE act so you NEED a passport. Funny, you can use them to get the passport but not to vote. If it passes, people are going to be screwed.
