Someday we will have a Democratic President who will get to appoint hopefully a competent Attorney General and since this is possibly election interference in federal elections and seems to discriminate against minorities, I believe corruption, fraud, and manipulation charges could be investigated.

And do not forget that Ted "Cancun" Cruz publicly supports Paxton, a fraudulent cheater who was impeached twice by his party colleagues.

Well, I live in Texas and overall it is a nice state, but the politics here are so corrupt. As a more liberal person I feel like an alien amongst rednecks. We really don't have a democracy if each state can manipulate the voting process for their party. It's 3rd world autocracy. Looking to move.

little tidbit-this county has been deep red but 2020 showed a potential purpling, then 2024 when Allred defeated cruz in the county it was official the county was purple & leaning blue, the polling places under attack service minority neighborhoods & districts with strong blue turnout

It is not misinformation. They suspended their voting status with no notification to the folks involved. Unless they are paying attention to the news, they don't even know they are affected.

A change of address form isn't exactly onerous paperwork. Just as with these polling closures, no one here actually reads the news and understands the issue at hand, but they'll tell ya all about it!

Thanks. I was actually thinking of Alabama's Jim Crow days when black voters had to guess the number of jelly beans in a jar before they were allowed to vote. Of course every guess was wrong. But in some ways it does apply to Reagan.

Why, why, why??? Trump wants to close polling places, eliminate mail in voting and rules, just so he can win? That’s not for the people, it’s for himself. And it pisses me off.

The reason they want to do this is because they are cheating, and the way they got caught last time was by making one place have 100% Trump and so people who voted knew it was a fraud and testified in court. Of course, nothing happened. But we now know the election was faked.

Texas also suspended voter registration for a million people. If you live in Texas, please check your registration status. This same thing happened to me, and I didn't realize until I saw this that it was GOP shenanigans.

My suggestion is you pick up a friend or more and go vote with each other. Make sure your vote counts!

One polling place left in an area that's being affected means there is time to organize free transportation for ppl who may not be able to travel to that one place. I'd make sure there are notices everywhere...knock on doors & distribute flyers so people will know the service is available. It helps.

We have to assume when Ds Go to the new polling locales there will be plenty of “sorry, we don’t see you on the list”. In purple locations it will be ICE removing voters from lines. In other districts it will be the USPS not delivering ballots timely. What is the recourse after the election? None.

They are not even trying to hide the fact that they are planning to steal the election. Chief Justice Roberts & Co. have really emboldened them.
