Since WWE's trying to exploit PAC's death, it's time to talk about this: Remember how PAC suddenly had visa issues when AEW started? That's because, when the AEW trademarks were filed, WWE called USCIS to claim he walked out on his visa. After leaving him alone for a year and giving him his release.

Am I missing something that’s actually exploiting? Did they do anything besides a social media note and a graphic?!? The absolute worst thing you can do to respect a dead talent is stir up old management tribalistic bullshit instead of marveling at the greatness they showed while under constraints

His friends, his family, his colleagues are trying to piece together what happened and how he could die less then 24 hours after an amazing match and stupid people are trying to dig up old dirt in the name of tribalism? . Fuck wrestling fans who don’t respect the talent they claim to root for

I respectfully disagree, particularly when the other company fucked him over like this and is not even moving their pre-recorded YouTube show to accommodate his tribute show. This is not "tribalism". One company made this guy's life actively worse and doesn't respect his memory.

A pre-recorded YouTube show that is going to be on demand isn’t a god damn threat for actual wrestling fans. Dynamite won’t gain any new viewers if they cancel it. The ones watching Wednesday are the ones already decided to either from being AEW fans or wanting to memorialize pac. Fuck the fed sheep

So what did I miss? Did they put me Neville merch up for sale? Is he a surprise character in 2K26? Or is all this talk because of airing a house show? His friends, colleagues, and family are still looking for answers. It’s disrespectful to bring tribalism not even 48 hours in

Another reason why WWE has been dead to me as a wrestling promotion for a long time now. I think they’re just that awful a company that I would never ever go back to them even if someone neutral came in & bought them. Just a company that shit on everyone unless they were part of the ol boys club.

And honestly, if you want wrestling, there’s so much alternatives out there these days, in the US, UK, Japan & Mexico.

Serious question: why are there people - on this here thread - that Stand Up For The Fed? What will it take? Clearly not the pedophilia, rape, and MAGA and Saudi connections. But I would imagine that people who love wrestling would be upset at this company for doing this.

The thread got posted on some of *those* subreddits so the most hardcore fed supporters are trying to brigade

I think some visa types are completely tied in with the employer who applyed to bring you in. So simply staying after you're not working for that employer anymore or working for other companies before youve sorted a new visa

Having realized I needed to check at least one other account, I should amend my earlier comments: WWE's obvious Twitter troll stooges are trying to use PAC's death to imply that AEW has a massive epidemic of drug abuse in general. They're not trying to imply that it's specific to one kind of drug.

This is well-known throughout the wrestling business and among wrestling media. It was never reported because it's such a sensitive issue that everyone kind of quietly agrees not to report on that kind of visa stuff without the talent's permission. But with PAC passing away, that part is moot.

It was known publicly that there were likely visa issues. (The Hangman match cancellation and the Wrestlecon drama made it hard to miss.) But if anyone said a word publicly about WWE being the cause, I don't remember it.

I'm not 100% sure but I know I talked about it with other reporters. And in 2019, you were the person I would have been most likely to have talked to about it. Regardless, I heard it from people who were directly involved.

The specifics of whether or not PAC actually violated the terms of his work visa are way above my pay grade, but regardless, WWE didn't say a word to USCIS for over a year. It only became a problem that they felt inclined to rat him out for when they realized a new moneyed startup was launching.

It needs to be noted as well that this BADLY rattled PAC and made him extremely paranoid about the future of his American work visa status. When he canceled on the Wrestlecon shows in 2019, it was a different visa than his WWE visa and that scared him to the point he backed out of the bookings.

Personally, I held onto this for 7+ years because, as noted above, it wasn't fucking worth the potential risk to his visa status just to add to the pile of WWE ratfucking stories. But now that he's gone and WWE is trying to exploit his death just to ratfuck AEW? Everyone needs to know what happened.

So when AEW made the booking, it would've been assumed that there was no problem, they would do the show and concurrently work on his visa when a proper contract for exclusive employment would've been drafted.

They would've only ran into a problem if Satterley was reported. I've worked in a tech where visa employees and employers normally do not do this to Visa employees unless they committed a crime or violated something, otherwise they just allow them to find employment so that their visa...

Scummy company. Always has, always will be. The rot is so ingrained there that there's no hope of changing anything. Fuck WWE to the end of my existence and I hope the executives there rot.

it really makes the WWE even more scummy when they did that graphic for PAC after doing all they could to ruin his career. as if that company couldn't be more indefensible
