Nope. Also, I am puzzled by the claim that other people didn't come forward with sexual harassment claims given that a former coworker told the PiPress that Mayor Her used to regularly grab his ass. bsky.app/profile/naom...

Naomi Kritzer@naomikritzer.bsky.social

This incident took place while she worked at City Hall, so probably when she was Mayor Carter's policy director, which she was from January 2018 through September 2021 (per her LinkedIn).

Also could someone unpack for me what it means that the "sex noises in the gym" stuff was declared "unsubstantiated." Does that mean "it was Her's word against the cop's word" or does that mean "other people were present who said it didn't happen" or what?

This claim quoted is one that I feel is being underreported. We have a claim of actual sexual assault and then using it in public to humiliate and exert power over someone. Really fucked up and unacceptable stuff if I am interpreting the situation correctly

I agree that differing standards may be appropriate because of the differing realities. But her conduct is outside whatever other standard I may be willing to entertain in another case. Losing a place of public trust and privilege is the tiniest price someone should be asked to pay for this conduct.

Another reason it's important that she face justice is because it's a tenant of toxic masculinity that men are supposed to enjoy it when a woman harasses them. Let's dismantle the whole thing.

"Let’s get real. If a man passed out in a sorority house, he’d wake up fully clothed with a blanket over him, a pillow under his head and a glass of water at his side." Apparently in the eyes of this columnist, young men aren't in danger of being raped at college. I can't even with this.

No, she doesn't get a pass on this crap b/c she's a woman. Do I think the Chief and others felt the kind of fear and intimidation that women usually do in reverse situations? No. But that doesn't matter. Her's behavior was unprofessional at best. Also, how does she have time to Photoshop so much?

No. In college I went on a j-term trip to Ireland and one of our (female) professors kept making weird uncomfortable jokes about male anatomy the whole month; she wound up getting fired over it when we reported it to the other prof Adults should be held accountable, period

No. She does not get a pass. Just because it's less common doesn't mean it's ok. Also, the big thing here is the power dynamic. Bosses should NOT be putting their hands on employees, making sexual innuendos, etc etc. She wasn't hired to F around. She needs to do her damn job working for the people

no, of course not. that is race to the bottom shit, the same mentality that leads people to thinking it's OK to say slurs now because donald trump is president

Absolutely not. I am stunned that she hasn't been forced from office. I read the complaint and if it's found to be true, she should be prosecuted, IMO.

I didn’t answer right away because my reflex was “fuck no what is this whataboutism” & also a fave legislator @erinmayequade.bsky.social is quoted (not necessarily supporting the thesis). But to bring my own hammer-nail: Rochelle ❤️ DFL centrists; I don’t think a lefty would’ve gotten her hall pass.

Probably correct. It’s not that I think she should get a pass, but methinks some of this must have to do with police/mayor relationship politics. Also, I am inclined to be highly skeptical of a suit by a male police chief for sex’l harassment (I worked 42 years in a male-dominated profession).
