There are a lot of things about long covid that are way worse, but the limited capacity to read subtitles (before I get a debilitating headache) is such a stupid frustration to have. Could I watch Lupin dubbed? Yes. Do I want to? No. Drops of God? Just ... waiting for the ability to start S2.

At this point, it feels like it's just a question of which comes first: he's starts babbling about raping kids or what we check the headlines for every day.

I made the mistake of studying his anatomy. Maybe I should do that with Ken Paxton, but I'm not sure your body is gonna qualify."

Extremely disappointed that my pharmacy told me that, if I switch to taking my compounded prescription as prescribed, instead of splitting the dose, it would cost me half as much. Alas, I will pay more to feel better. (And it should cost more for 90 human-filled pills than 30. It's fair. Hmp.)

marine corps boards crossing out their instructions "expel trans marines" and writing in "we keep this trans marine" is, frankly, a great example of what it means that a society is more than just its government

This, like it should not take an implied threat to you for you to be horrified and disgusted that entire groups of people are being terrorized. Trans People deserve basic decency because they do, not because it buys me better treatment by extension.

And having said (& meant) that, I'm tired of framing the protection & defense of any vulnerable group (trans ppl, immigrants, Muslims) as "the moment you compromise the rights of [GROUP], you compromise the rights of every citizen" because damn can we value & defend their humanity for its own sake?

NEW on @zeteo.com — Venues are *pulling out* of hosting Vivek Ramaswamy for his bus tour across Ohio in the closing days of the election. “We’re getting calls that people don’t want him there,” a top Ohio Republican says. “It’s that damn ad.” From @andrewperez.bsky.social and @swin24.bsky.social:

FWIW, I have better luck with replies like: Burn in hell, bigots. (For any religious-themed messages.) Go fuck yourself, you racist/lying/Nazi piece of shit. Or, my personal favorite:

it's cool that you can send "STOP" to instantly block an automated political fundraising text message so they have to text you from a different number five minutes later

"Wool" clothing companies in the US feel like such a scam. Look at our NATURAL FIBER clothes that are 30% nylon. That'll be $90 for a tank top. Meanwhile, you can get 100% merino ones, made in NZ, of traceable NZ wool, shipped, AND PAY THE TRUMP TARIFFS for half the price. This fucking country.

I mean, also a lot of teenagers and children. I know it’s appealing to think these were all girlbosses standing up and making speeches at the stake, but many of them were literally children and it was a kangaroo court - nothing they could have said or done, in many cases, would’ve spared them.

If Zohran Mamdani or Abdul El-Sayed had used the word “Shylock” as an insult, the ADL would be attacking them by name relentlessly. But Donald Trump used it, so we get a generic condemnation of the word without any specific reference to who actually used it, and with no assumption of intent.
