A federal court has declared that warrantless searches of US person’s communications collected for national security purposes is unconstitutional. Now it’s our job to make sure Congress knows that when they renew this law in a little over a year.

Language matters. Call this regime what they are - N*zis. It is the singular most recognized word globally. People know exactly what it means and stands for. Every republican is responsible. It’s now the Republican N*zi Party (RNP). Use it online, say it out loud.

In Trump's America I can no longer place any faith in the legal standing of any court ruling. It's a small, and probably temporary, win. But, that said, I hope it serves for now to keep the government from snooping on those who plan resistance activities.

This is a very powerful tool for a fascist state, and they will certainly try to renew it. Just look at the bargaining chips being created, e.g., they've effectively halted medical research.

If DJT can change the Constitution, he can destroy the Constitution. The founding documentation of this country should be way more important than a man's ego and corrupt intentions. Hopefully it will hold up the next four years.

“Warrantless searches of US person’s communications collected…” This is happening! Will my post be scrutinized? If so, what does it mean for me? How will it be interpreted? Will I be branded an enemy of some kind? Intimidated from expressing concerns, beliefs, opinions? Will I be safe?

What's sad is our law enforcement and DHS folks break existing laws thousands of times each year. I suspect a new one for them to break will only count in some rare court cases. They still collect a lot of information in violation of the laws.

You have 5 loose cannon and one has unlimited resources, a team of offshore blackhat tech criminals etc. Doubt if anything will ever work the same now. They openly snub any attempts to stop them.

Read the article. It is worse than you think. ME in SuperParaphrase: In advertent recording of a ton of U.S. citizens. 'it would be illegal to use those' The government 'it would be ashame to throw it out since it has already been recorded' 'We'll only use it for really just causes.' TY EFF

This is amazing news, but it unfortunately comes far too late at a time when the constitution is unlikely to hold much legal weight in the near future, as the supreme court keeps forcing their corrupt interpretations of the law

Neither the House or the Senate have the intestinal fortitude to stand up to the “New Monarchy “. It’s time to replace them with representatives who actually “represent “ the American People and the Constitution!

Well, it is temporary🤯 why? The Constitution is clear! It is the foundation of this country! Felon 47 never put his hand on the Bible, never confirm his oath to the Constitution 🤯 he does not believe in Law & order as prescribed by the Constitution.

So the intelligence community violates our rights and justifies it as necessary to protect us from evil doers who would violate our rights?

Yes like onstar that’s a gps tracking service. Although it may be utilized for good. It can even track you when, you’re not using the feature. You can be tracked even if, you don’t have a subscription. The tracking feature remains operational in most Onstar 🚙. Even when the service is canceled.

Correct me if I'm wrong. Everything about all of us is in databases in the clandestine data centers hiding in remote areas of the us. So, if you are born today, your browser history and all account IDs and passwords are safe???

I have a feeling that this will serve republicans because they will do it anyway but any search into illegal stuff done online by them will be hindered by this. Such as the kind of stuff they love to do on Telegram.

And what if Trump says so what and does it anyway? Will it go to the courts? For how long? I don't know, but this whole thing seems like a disaster and we are only 4 days into it.

I don't think it matters, this regime will do it anyway. People don't understand that he has broken the law over and over again, without consequences. Our corrupt supreme justices already paved the way for him to do as he pleases. Next he will shut this platform down, be ready.

Trump has started how he means to go on, ignoring both laws & constitution, hoping that he will get his way. It is up to the American people to defend their rights & freedoms because once they're gone, they are very hard to get back again.

You can only take a stand if you have "F U" money, like Musk. And this is something he did take a stand on....... but really, this is also something that one of the other 2500 billionaires can take on, the only thing frankly, that I believe that they can take on, that's in the public interest.

Going forward Congress won't give a fig about what is, and isn't, constitutional. Indeed, now that SCOTUS has handed the president Carte Blanche and Impunity... he will extend the impunity and the carte blanche by proxy. The law of the land, going forward, is for all intents and purposes irrelevant.

Okay, but you'll have to convince the military-inteligencia to go along: they will just move the program, change the name, maybe some of the bad actors and go on. This is the world we live in: the monster is really under your bed, in your ear, staring at you from the camera on your screen.
