This is also a field test. If the press lets them muddy the waters on executing a woman in Minneapolis despite multiple witnesses and video recordings clearly depicting what happened, the message they'll take away is that there's nothing they can't get away with. Nothing.

She clearly blocked the agents with her vehicle. Refused to get out of her vehicle and then tried to run over an agent. These aren’t protesters- these are vigilantes trying to overthrow an elected government.

Absolutely it is a test, and it was always going to come. They know they have to navigate through it, awkward as it now is. Once dealt with, it opens wide and allows them to rinse and repeat, as the civilian body count racks up. Each subsequent death being met with less outage, more resignation.

Videos on Facebook and The Bad Place are already littered with comments claiming that she drove at the officer deliberately. Oddly, a lot of those comments are also from the "protectin' our wimmin an' are girls" types...

May be pessimistic but I think the US might just be done as a functioning society. They've already had multiple events that would justify a general strike until sense was restored, and there's little to suggest they won't sail past this one too.

People need to revisit the "shoot someone in the middle of 5th Avenue" comment in this context. There is *zero* chance the media would not follow Trump's spin in that kind of situation. Now extend the principle to an invocation of the Insurrection Act and a literal massacre.

Sorry to say the test isn't even needed. The minions only watch approved news sources that as of last night were either repeating the lie or trying to ignore it. It's simply time to separate from these people and let them live the lives they want under a dictator.

Of course it will lead up for more violence and lawlessness, if someone gets away murdering at clear daylight. Also it tells lot whatkind of society Usa is atm, not every Americans I get it. But this keep on happening, so obviously too many Americans and you are losing your country.

Trump’s attempt to parse the videos, where everyone can see what’s really happening, is his Rubicon. From now on, it’s the faithful (who have made the choice to go all in) vs everyone else. In other words, the inflection point between nativist populism & authoritarian repression.

Don't think there's much doubt that this is what will happen. The US is already well beyond the event horizon I'm guessing the only field test that remains is the mid-terms. But that's almost as far away as Trump's inauguration. What will the US look like in 9 months?
