Let's play a game. You reply with a hypothetical US Foreign Policy move, and no matter how random or insane it is, I'll explain how it fits neatly into an Anti-China Grand Strategy. If others want to play along with their own strategies or rating the scenarios/replies they are welcome to.

(I asked for hypotheticals, not fully accurate predictions) If there's one thing the US knows its how much fighting an insurgency against a hostile populace can bleed a superpower, let the Chinese grow weak from snipers and fat on mooncake, believing the US has grown blind to the threat they pose.

The Chinese may have been able to use the power of capital to subvert Alaska under US leadership, but Russians are far too incompetent to manage a territory of that size effectively (just look at how their Siberian oblasts fare), thus denying it to the Chinese forever!

JNGC have proven themselves a ruthless and resourceful enemy for the Mexican army. If they could be subverted to secure the US' southern border against China's fentanyl, it would free up CBP to focus on terrorizing US cities hardening the US population for the coming Pacific Theatre struggle.

Weaponizing the so-called "international rules based system" against the US has been a long-standing objective of China across New York, Vienna, Geneva and Nairobi. The US cannot afford to be tied down by the law, and outmoded notions of what constitutesd crimes against it. USA! USA! USA!

During his visit with Xi in April, Trump says on TV that Taiwan is just part of China and if they want to send in soldiers there's no reason for the US to care

The UK Prime Minister is weak, but Libertarian Milei is a kindered spirit and fellow warrior. By seizing the Faulklands and turning them into a nuclear testing ground, the US strengthens a bulkwark against China in Latin America by granting him a Libertarian Paradise (irradiated wasteland).

Surely more likely that the aim would be to make clear to the UK that there will be consequences if we refuse them the use of Diego Garcia when they want to use it against China?

Marco Rubio walks up to a podium and says "We, as part of hte official foreign policy of the United States of America, worship the dragon that gives power unto the beast, and we worship the beast. For who is like unto the beast? Who is able to make war upon him"

The Chinese industrial juggernaut is driven by a relentless Confusian work ethic and focus on the family. By ceding California's sunny weather and Sodom to China, the US will not only be cutting out its own weakness but infecting the Chinese with sloth, decadence and "the gay (technical term)".

Europeans are wavering in their commitment to NATO and standing shoulder to shoulder with the US, in part because they believe they may no longer need the US nuclear umbrella. Without French nukes, they would crawl under the skirts once more.

Allowing us to focus our resources on deterring China, and preventing China’s incursion into the EI markets. Yeah, that would fit in the NSS.

The Chinese like to believe they think in centuries and plan in decades, plotting every move before others even know there's a board. A move like this will paralyse them with indecision as they struggle to parse the strategic importance of these islands and decode the hidden message in the music.

Demonstrating the range of US ICBMs and denying long suspected Chinese efforts to establish a reconoissance and rare minerals base on the earth's only satellite? It's just common sense, people.

Weaning Americans off their dependence on goods from an "ally" with a history of rapidly surrendering and of leaders who love to score points by being opposition to Washington is just common sense, as is securing a strategic reserve of champions of China's second favourite sport.

The US makes a secret treaty with China that China will lend parts of its security forces to the US to suppress unrest after cancelling the presidential election, and also for China to hold arrested opposition politicians from the US.
