It seems like the police are assuming the far-right losers are 'looking for an excuse' to do more damage and so must be given maximum space. In fact, they are turning a big dial that says 'thuggery' on it and constantly looking over at the state for the slightest sign of consequences.

No, arresting ‘Danny Tommo’ won’t make him a martyr. *Not* arresting him will fuel his agenda.

From my school days, Martyrs were people who died for their beliefs. These thugs whinge if a policeman asks them to move back. Not one of them would die for this country, otherwise they would be in the armed forces (if they would have them)

Apparently DT's big thing is telling his fellow thugs how 'not to get nicked', and so the Police 'might' be waiting for them to overstep the mark so severely, that they make themselves ALL undeniably 'nickable' ? Because being on their 'best behaviour' all the time must be driving those thugs nuts.

Also, the cops are looking at the govt to ask "If we arrest them and there is a fracas as a result, you'll back us right?" And not getting "Yes" as an answer!

Arresting Tommo and his associates and throwing the book at them - every major charge they can make stick - is exactly what the majority of good people want to see. The only people who will see him as a martyr are the scum that support him and his low-life pal Robinson. And they don’t matter.

I can only hope that details for all members of his organisation are being obtained and checked, so that once it is proscribed they can be safely identified as such, if and when they reappear in another more "respectable" guise.

Prisons are full , police numbers down . Better surely to defuse the risk of violence escalating . All battles end in negotiation . Use reason over physical might to win .

That’s not it at all; they sympathise with him. When Moseley marched up Cable Street, he had the support of the majority of London’s police force; the people that stopped English fascism in 1936 weren’t wearing uniforms, and they won’t be now.

That's a pretty bleak assessment of the far-right movement. It sounds like the opposite is true - they're actively looking for a way to justify violence against others, and the fact that they're getting away with it only emboldens them.
