Yeah, also never been through CDG but have heard it's a shitshow. My controversial airport opinion is that MIA is worse than JFK.

Went thru CDG on the way to ATH last year. Kid didn’t sleep (it was overnight) and we waited in vain in the jetway for our stroller. Nothing. I had to carry an extremely angry and tired 2 year old across the entire airport (and thru passport control) to make our connection. Never again.

It’s awful. And Frankfurt. Hells on earth.

Also if you fly out in the morning the sun hits the terminal and will fucking blind you if you’re in the wrong place at the wrong time

ouch. I think last time I went through CDG we lost our luggage. and maybe the time before that, too. child me very much preferred Schipol or the one time we went through Zurich.

It's shocking that the nation that insists on having a bar next to every playground (good) doesn't have anything in their major airport.

Yes… Getting out of CDG is key. Jump the nearest cab straight to a real Cafe with delicious food. Last time I was there, I couldn’t get out of that airport fast enough. 😂

This is why I avoid CDG like the plague

In its defense, France doesn't really have much of a food culture. Seriously, this is PARIS! Between its food and protest cultures, how have they not burned it to the ground?

CDG is an enormous shopping mall where you can park airplanes. Absolutely god-awful as an airport.

Long ago, the exactly 3 non-Canadian/Caribbean flights out of Pittsburgh were were LGW, CDG and FRA which is how my first trip to Sweden took me there. The Terminal 1 satellite stuff circa 2000 was weird but pre-9/11 it was at least easy despite it.

Agreed. The signage is so bad I actually tried to check in to the wrong terminal on a transfer. Missed the sign to go down a hidden escalator, and through a dark hallway to wait for a bus to a remote terminal.
