you know the saying, you can't cheat an honest man? it's just that. the only use of "AI" here is just to cheat everything upwards because no one in management does work anymore, and no one at the top has ever done work, so they can't gauge work because they don't know what it is

I kind of think it’s this, except your boss is the one pushing ai. The boss also just wants it to look like work is being done, spreadsheets are filled, metrics look good. Then they can trick their boss and their boss can trick investors and shareholders.

They are desperate to find a use case for a product they have spent billions of dollars on, just throwing shit at a wall and seeing what sticks.
