MS buying GH was enough of a reason for me to move to Gitlab

Pretty clear no one in Microsoft actually knows what they're doing since Balmer. Especially since their recent behavior seems to be "pretend we're a holding company".

It’s kind of unavoidable when you get acquired by a big cloud provider. They just throw money at you to make the migration work

it can’t have been just the OS, this is basically a rewrite to use MS technologies from whatever hotmail was written in - like mod Perl or even just C++ concatenating html togerher.

Is it just gitlab.com? Gitlab is still open source so one can get it from other places like stackhero.io for example.
