A police presence results in violence more often than not. Protests are peaceful until police arrive & start attacking w/ smoke canisters, pepper spray & rubber bullets, one taking out a journalists eye. We have a right to peaceful protest that is never respected by those in gov't being protested

We have to be careful not to put too much work on to our officers shoulders. We need a social, economic , health and educational policy that augments criminal justice policies to prevent crimes before they happen. The ammount of stress our officers face every day is immense.

They literally don’t. Go ahead and look up some statistics on percent of cases solved and what cops do all day. Cops create crime by over policing certain groups. And they protect property, not people.
