the fact that Tatiana Maslany could play one clone who was impersonating another clone and you could tell who BOTH OF THOSE WERE MEANT TO BE was some sort of god tier wizardry

That remains the most amazing feat of acting I have ever seen. And the thing that makes it so much better is that you don't even _notice_ what's going on until later. You have no questions, there's no "aren't I clever" pause. It's only later, you look back and go, "Holy shit, how'd she do that?"

It's so incredibly rare for people to say a woman is among the best to have ever done it and everybody else to immediately go "yeah no she's clearly one of the best to EVER do it" and I think that's because she's, you know, a once in a lifetime artist.

I haven't even gotten to watch a full episode (it was coming out when I couldn't watch tv or films basically at all) but any five minute clip of her acting against her own performance makes it extremely obvious that NOBODY is doing multicast roles the way she can.

Highly recommend finding a site on the high seas, at least for the first season (the plot did later end up becoming... very convoluted... in the latter seasons) but the first season was probably along the best shows I've ever seen

It is the most wildly impressive shit. Also, I am extremely impressed that Girl and I are watching this because she has never seen this before, audio description, no visuals, you can still tell who is who and also who is pretending to be who.

I'd watch the opening credits sometimes and be like "Wow, there's a lot more guys and a lot fewer women in here than I remember" and then I'd slap myself on the forehead and go "Yeah cuz LIKE TEN OF THE WOMEN ARE ALL MASLANY"

Makes me think of Temuera Morrison, and how he’s the voice of every single clone trooper in Star Wars, every member of Bad Batch, Jango Fett, and old Boba Fett, and every single one of them that is meant to come off as an individual does so. The man has incredible range!
