I think that's a fair concern, but also I think insurance companies would rather pay for 1000 people to get the vaccine than for one of them to have 30 days in hospital.

My wife worked in appeals for a minute with two of the three largest health insurance companies. One of them would brazenly deny care in direct contradiction with their own criteria. I wouldn't bet against your speculation.

It is not like my medical records don't already state my mental illness and asthma. I still want someone to define what "physical inactivity" means - that one could be targeted. They already up cost of health insurance at my work for smokers.

I started working out, gained 30 pounds of lean mass in 3 years, and as a result my medical record got tagged with "obesity." Might as well use that to get vaxxed, it's already there...

As of at least last June you need not document or disclose a specific condition to the pharmacist. Self declare, and hold your ground. Perhaps just start w “in shared clinical decision making, my doctor advised I get the vaccine.” Disclose nothing else. Uncomfortable but can work.

If preexisting conditions come back we’re all cooked. I was put in the highest risk pool in my early 30s-totally healthy but prescribed sleeping pills for occasional insomnia ONCE. Huge premium & all mental health meds/treatment excluded. Only recourse was not to be diagnosed with anything for 3 yrs

My thoughts are that vaccines may not always be affordable in the U.S. or now even accessible; but foreigners traveling in and paying out of pocket could be an interesting economic boon for Canada and Mexico.

Alberta has put a price of $100 on a Covid shot for its own citizens, so be prepared to pay a lot more if this becomes possible. And sadly, I don't think most Canadians would support assistance to Americans, thanks to your moron-in-chief and his tariffs.

This may sound dismal but I have three qualifying conditions. I am so tired at this point I'm not even sure that I want to continue treatment. I feel crummy all the time and research was dropped on one of my conditions. No cure, no treatments.

If you have any pre-existing conditions, it’s already documented in your medical charts and your insurance is already aware. Diagnosis codes are submitted on claims to insurance along with procedure codes.

I am an oncology nurse. As if it isn’t enough you have to worry about cancer-but not your insurance and any social safety net. I am struggling to not hate those who voted for him as well-

I called Cassidy‘s office, my local reps & other key reps suggesting an interim plan to quickly get vaccines to appropriate pts who want them & bypass overly limited restrictions. 1) revert to 2024 guidelines/recommendations for C19 vax 2) allow “off-label” C19 vax by Rx w/o penalties & liability.

Covid is going to have a big year. We should have a betting pool on how many will die.

That has happened already. When I retired I tried to get a UHC medi-gap policy but found it would be over $340 a month due my history of asthma. Why I have a Medicare advantage plan. Can’t wait to see what happens to my premiums
