I’m convinced the biggest, underreported problem is that whoever owns AI has the ability to shape perceived reality because so many people trust whatever it vomits out. Click-thrus in search engines are way down because people read the AI summary, which is so easy to manipulate

We have evidence that AI is becoming a more capable automation tool. We do not have evidence that scaling a probabilistic tool produces a generally reliable autonomous worker. Gates’s social forecast depends almost entirely on assuming that missing transition will occur. Color me doubtful.
