Funny how Elon Musk, allegedly a genius, wastes his time on robotaxis and shitposting on Twitter instead of doing something useful like helping actual democracies. But that’s because he’s neither a genius nor does he care about actual democracy. Texas can keep him. He’s a mess.

Doesn’t sound like we’re quite ready for a Chinese style “lights-out” factory. Unfortunately, that’s increasingly the level of competence and capex required for global competitiveness. We accuse them of cheating while we devote our free cash flow to buybacks instead of robotics. Failed strategy.

Biden financed it in the beginning which I find interesting republicans talking about not vetting companies and putting a rush on it. But don’t criticize any of trumps no bid, pay to play friends with bitch jobs and no warranties .

I’m admittedly not a government contracting expert, but it seems to me a contract saying “We will pay you X dollars for every shell that meets specs up to Y shells” might have prevented this problem altogether. There should be consequences for the contract approvers.

Dayumn! We have heard that haste makes waste, yes, but in this instance that is the only thing. Started during the Biden era apparently remains as a good way to burn money to this day. Why make outdated munitions for a war we are not supporting but no munitions have ever been made. Incredible.
